Let’s start with a divisive topic. Automatic gratuity for large parties.
One side might argue, fairly, that it’s necessary to ensure that a server is compensated for the extra burden of handling a large table without running the risk of stingy customers. Heard. Agreed. I’d argue that if a business really cares about that, maybe they provide the gratuity from profit for their servers instead of forcing it on the customers and allow the customers to tip -beyond- that, but this is late-stage capitalism and franchise owners are out for number one.
The other side would insinuate that, when gratuity is automatic, servers are not incentivized to try very hard. Also fair. It’s certainly a risk and there is little that the customer can do to remedy mistreatment. But you didn’t come here for political philosophy. You came here to learn more about this restaurant and what you might expect when visiting.
I’m afraid it’s the latter.
Slow service. Forgotten drinks. Two young children (IYKYK) were the last to get their food. Those chicken tenders took so long to produce that the only possibility is that the kitchen completely forgot about them initially, dropped them into the fryer late, then forgot again. Our entire table had eaten and cleaned their butter-soaked fingers before the children’s food even showed up. Who knows how long they were ready - our server was busy mopping another zone knowing that his only table had children waiting for food that was running behind.
Yes, only table. This wasn’t a visit during peak hours when our big top was added burden on top of a dinner rush. We ate during what would usually be considered happy hour. Maybe six tables total between three servers and a full kitchen staff and we couldn’t snag refills. Unacceptable.
TLDR: Food was mid. Service was like a training run. Price was high.
I’d keep driving.

Terrible customer service . I got my food and drink . It tasted good and was nice and hot . The waitress didn’t give or ask if I needed tater sauce with my catfish!!! I proceeded to drink an entire Bloody Mary and waited 10 minutes before I flagged down another waiters attention. Then I still waited for her to come over I asked for the sauce and she had an attitude !!! I’m very unhappy and think is sad the way employees ack untitled these days .

We were heading out for sushi and then realized that the place that we were going to was closed on Mondays. So I googled something close that was open and we took a chance and boy was that the right move. Heaping piles of crab claws, baby octopus, crawfish, and our waitress was fantastic. I live in Philadelphia, but was visiting my daughter in the next time. I am in the Jackson area, we will be coming back.
Food was absolutely delicious!! Service was subpar and the music was very loud from a personal speaker - bass was VERY loud. Altogether though the food made the visit completely worth it!

Second Visit to Juicy Seafood – Very Disappointing
This was my second time dining at Juicy Seafood, and unfortunately, the experience was nothing like the first. I ordered the exact same meal as before, but this time I requested Blue Crab. What I received, however, was not Blue Crab at all—it was gumbo crab, or soft-shell crab. To make matters worse, I ordered a half-pound, but the waiter brought out one and a half pounds instead—something I never requested.
When I tried to address the issue, the waiter went back and forth with me and was quite loud, which made the situation uncomfortable. I decided to stay calm and wait until my mother finished eating before asking for the check. When I finally saw the ticket, I was shocked by the total—the soft-shell crabs were extremely expensive!
I spoke with the manager, who went to get the restaurant manager. He claimed the crabs I received were Blue Crabs, but then contradicted himself by saying they were the same ones used in their soft-shell crab po’boy. At that point, I asked for a refund because he had basically admitted they weren’t Blue Crabs after all.
In total, I ended up spending over $190—$100 initially and then another $90 or so. My mother enjoyed her meal, but I won’t be returning. The only positive note is that the Dungeness crabs were absolutely delicious.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! I ordered the #4 from the website and chose to get crab legs, shrimp and sausage. The crab legs were so tiny it’s ridiculous. It was also about 5 shrimp in the bag with a BUNCH of sausage. I was highly disappointed in this establishment. I wish I could upload how small the crab legs were. Absolutely treacherous and disgusting.

The vibe threw me off a little at first since we were seated in the bar area because it was a little loud, but I’m actually glad we were! Our bartender was also our server, and she was outstanding—drinks, napkins, and everything else arrived right on time. Her margaritas were amazing and made completely from scratch, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
The food was really good. I was honestly shocked by how delicious their chicken tenders were—they were perfectly seasoned and crispy. The portion was perfect. The seafood was flavorful and fresh, and every dish had a great balance of seasoning. Even though I’m usually picky at seafood places, I was genuinely impressed. I would absolutely come back again and would recommend stopping here if you’re in the area!
