I really like this place. The people are friendly. I love the family owned environment. I like the look and feel of the restaurant. All food is good. Tamales are excellent. I will say I’ve been to D’Iberville’s location and Gautier is superior. That is in terms of service and hospitality, at least that’s my experience.
The woman was extremely pleasant and gracious with portions. The gentleman who prepared my food was very skimpy with the ingredient portions and grumpy. The food tasted excellent; however, $16 for a bowl, a drink and a bag with only 8 tortilla chips in it is a bit pricey.

I believe the owner was cooking in the back… I absolutely love that.
Staff was polite and respectful. Food wasn’t too expensive and the portions were solid.
