The Sampler plate was horrific! The fish had so much batter on it, that you couldn’t taste anything else. The same with the shrimp. And whose idea was it to put chicken on a fish sampler plate. Duh….. I don’t have a clue as to what that crunchy stuff was in there. No flavor at all. I guess it was fried paper so to fill you up. Also had the clam strips. Ha, just like the crunchy stuff. PITIFUL to say that was a meal.

All the seafood is sourced from China and tastes like it. The okra was fried in very old oil. The slaw wasnt fresh. Service was okay, not that he had to go put of his way.

They have changed the fish to swai from Vietnam. The fish has the texture of chicken and doesn't even taste like fish. Couldn't eat the fish and they wouldn't give me a refund but they threw away the fish I couldn't eat and gave me some more. It was just as bad I had to throw it away because I couldn't eat the fish. The batter was good but the fish was dry and smelled and tasted like bad chicken.
Went to Captain D's on March 21st, 2025 after anticipating the visit for my first since leaving town in 2005. Wife and made our orders inside. We ordered the Sampler platter with fries and green beans which came out cold. We ordered a soft drink at $3.09 and was told after we paid that the ice machine was out of order. We paid with a debit card and was informed that it would show back into the account in 3 to 5 days. We wanted to cancel the order but the cashier had the cooks remake the order which was confused with someone else. We received the order and had to pay again with cash and the food was awful. Totally disappointed with the whole experience.
