it's good food but like most places in Grenada it's always something. First time we went no one told us to seat our selves we just stood there looking stupid, second time they didn't tell us we had to pay at register and our waitresses just disappeared for a good minute so we couldn't flag her down. So we were late to movie. Then they didn't tell us we had a salad with our meal or that we had to go get it so we paid for that for no reason. Then this last time we went it was take out they wouldn't answer phone. So my wife had to go up there and sit and wait on it forever then she got home and two items were missing. So I had to GO BACK then upon arrival the cooks acted like it wasn't there fault and spent 3 minutes trying to figure out what happen instead of just getting started fixing the issue. Then when I asked about a refund of sorts for my troubles ( no phone answer, wife sitting for wait, gas back up there, me waiting 15 min, food sitting at home getting cold) they said we can't do partial refund but we have cake if u want.... Like really ? Lousy cake ? That's it the best u can do ....? I'll never be going back and will bad mouth this place and not suggest it or if I over hear anyone debating on going I'll make sure to but I'm even if I don't know them in hopes of saving them from the trouble. idk what's in the water in Grenada but this and similar issues are with every restaurant in Grenada like how hard is it to read a ticket order and properly place all items in bag and the ToGo person or waiter/waitress make sure all items are right or in bag upon giving them to customer ?

The place is a little run down, it's the old Green Door. The waitress I had was polite and checked in pretty often. I ordered their catfish and for a special it took an extremely long time. The catfish tasted like dish soap, it was aweful. My wife ordered gouda mashed potatoes and immediately you could tell that the potatoes came from a box. And they didn't hesitate to charge me plenty for this aweful meal. When I ordered my replacement catfish I had to wait for it be cooked again, I wanted to give it a second chance but it was the same result. Terrible! Save your money and go to Captain Ds, fast food is better than this food amd way less expensive.

I rarely give a negative review, and I was so terribly disappointed with my recent visit here. To begin, I had enjoyed a wonderful experience at this place about 10 years ago. Food was great, cozy, homey feel, mature & friendly service, welcoming folks, good cold beer. And everytime since then, that I am passing through Mississippi on I-55, I think about this place. It is off the beaten path on Scenic Route 333, which is a beautiful drive in the daylight hours. If you ever have the time and opportunity, take the Scenic 333 around Grenada Lake! This restaurant is not a convenient or quick hop-off from I-55, but I had such wonderful memories from my previous visit a decade ago. Hubs & I are passing through on our travels & I thought he should experience all the wonderful things I had spoken about the place. Disappointing. The atmosphere has been upgraded, which is nice. It appears they're trying to appeal to an upscale crowd, not necessarily the fisherman coming right off the lake. Stepping into the front door, there sat a very aged, pretty little lady with a big smile to welcome us inside. Perhaps she's the owner of the establishment, or maybe she's a permanent fixture there. But delightful! & she was the extent of our delightful experience. The rest was pitiful. All the servers I saw were spring chicks with absolutely no idea, care or concern about customer service, nor how to properly serve a table. Fried green tomatoes as appetizer required almost 30 minutes to arrive & it was garnished with nothing. Had to ask for ranch. Had to ask for catsup. Had to ask for hot sauce. Had to ask for silverware. Was advised we could get slaw & salad at the salad bar.... slaw with runny, milky, mayo dressing; iceberg lettuce, croutons, bacon bits, your choice of ranch, Italian or 1000 island. The salad bar was pretty sad, to say the least. Hubs ordered a shrimp poboy that came on a huge hefty hoagie bun, kinda looked like Gambino bread, which was a huge plus, until he opened this foot-long bun to find only 5 medium sized fried shrimp inside. It was dressed appropriately with lettuce shred, tomato & mayo. I ordered the 1/2 pound cajun shrimp boil. Please don't call it "cajun", you can't call it "low country boil" either, when there is absolutely no evidence you have used spice, not even a dash of cayenne. At that point, it is just simply "shrimp boil". Anyway, my shrimp were also tiny, most likely medium variety & terribly overcooked. Their shells were peeling off & the meat was like rubber with no flavor. My red potatoes were undercooked, hard in the center, requiring a knife. My corn on the cob, overcooked & without flavor.... it might have been previously boiled & subsequently microwaved. While watching other mature & senior couples leave half their food still plated, all with disappointment looks on their faces, we also decided it was a bust, left our food, paid a very-inflated, very-overrated price for our food & unfortunately left our server with a meager tip... I hate not tipping well, but this is the dilemma.... there are 4 young folks working the floor & spending their time not working, not attending to their customers, but rather laughing, joking & hashing out their plans for a Friday night after work, all visible & audible to the 6 tables full of hungry, thirsty patrons, who are all visibly losing their patience with the situation, as evidenced by the scowls on their faces & the big sighs. And even after I witnessed an older gentleman verbally express his disdain with the poor service & lengthy wait & subsequently his incorrect order served to him, the young man serving him simply shrugged his shoulders & made absolutely no effort at service recovery or damage control. Truthfully, I felt that same vibe from every server present this particular evening. Someone who cares about the longevity & prosperity & reputation of this quaint litt

This was once our favorite “go to” restaurants in Grenada been patronizing over 12yrs came in tonight my husband ordered a hamburger Steak with mash potatoes but here’s the punch line no gravy came with hamburger steak it was a mere hamburger patty; they informed us iits a $1 for onions, $1 for mushrooms and a $1 for gravy!??Positive note; our waitress was phenomenal, prompt and courteous! We probably won’t be back!

Hamburgers are amazing! Service is great. The outside needs a little work, but the inside will surprise you! Great place! Everyone is very inviting. Don't know why they have only 3 stars

While others may point out inconsistent issues. It was a great restaurant and very accommodating to me. I would also highly recommend the buffet.

We went in late on Saturday night. They were out of several of our choices. I paid 79c for a glass of rusty water, they brought us biscuits with our meals but no butter, and we think that the price we paid, for what we got, was kinda high. Staff was friendly though.

My family and ( my family always travel with me, it's great for a marriage ) I stopped at this remarkable bistro going back to N.Y. from a business trip. I am out this way often and this restaurant is definitely N.Y.C. quality. A great ambiance great service and great food make it a jewel.

I don't know how this place is rated so high. The food was the pits. It was way too salty. Just imagine a steak so salty that you can't eat. There was three of us all three steaks were the same. Service was slow and the place was just about empty. Price was a little out of line for the food and service. Salad bar was nothing to talk about either.

This was the worst!!! Each person got their orders one at a time and the wait between was at least 15 minutes. The Cajun shrimp was at least a day old. Some of us ordered the house pasta and they never got their order after 2 hours and 40 minutes. The food was not good at all at least what we got of it. It’s awful. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!
