We decided to give El Tejocote a try after getting burned out on all the local Mexican restaurants. We had a pleasant experience there. The cheese dip was good the chips were ok. I had the El Tejocote chimichanga and it was pretty good. My wife had a chicken and shrimp dish that was dang good. Everyone was happy with their food. The beer was ice cold but they don't have margaritas.
This place was great! I had dined in before but got take out to test consistency and both the staff and food are still worth every bit of 5 stars. The food is of course hot and fresh, the salsa was fantastic with the right amount of heat and flavor, and the wait time was minimal. Would definitely recommend trying this place out?
