Uncle Bubba's Barbecue & Smokehouse

Party of 7 - we took my mother in law here for her birthday dinner 4/9 around 2:30. My husband and I have been here a few times prior and food and service was always on par. However, the service and food were terrible. When we arrived the restaurant only had a few other people, not even half full, and we ordered drinks and 2 appetizers. When we ordered our meals, which took forever to arrive, the wait staff appeared to be bored and not intersted in us. We ordered the sampler plate, 5 small slices of sausage, 3 fried green tomatoes, and 2 wings with pimento cheese in cup on the side. We also ordered burnt ends. The appetizers were dry and not worth the price. My husband ordered shrimp and grits. Barely any grits in the bowl, 4 shrimp, and the broth was horrible. My smokehouse burger was dry and very little seasoning. The mac and cheese with pulled pork that 2 people in our party ordered was dry and clumped together. Our bill was $153 for dry and uninspired food. Thinking twice before coming back.

Every time I have ordered from here my food has came burnt. wont eat here again for sure.

3rd time here and same experience. Tonight not impressed. Arrived at 630, no one waiting no one to great us. Waited 5 minutes for someone to arrive. When someone did it was what Im assuming was manager and 2 servers haveing a disagreement in front of us. We were then told it would be just a moment. Waited another 5 min then finally sat. Waited 10 more minutes, no one ever came to get drinks. Needless to say after 20 minutes with no service, we left and wont be back.

Just visited and had a 1/2 rack of wet ribs. They were delish and we enjoyed excellent service. I will be stopping in again soon…

Great first time at uncle Bubbas. Super fun staff .. great owners, good music! Will be back!

Solid barbecue: good ribs and pulled pork. The brisket wasn’t great but I won’t take off for that because this isn’t an area of the country where you would expect good brisket. Service also wasn’t great the night we went but it was pretty good given their staffing situation (which is bad everywhere right now, so hard to blame them) overall I’d say give it a visit if you are in the area

Some of the best bbq I've ever had! The sides were very good and very generous portions! Pecan cobbler to die for and the pork rinds are perfect. The hospitality by the owners and staff was the best I've encountered in a very long time.

Our waitress Jordan, did an outstanding job waiting on us. I ordered a catfish plate with fries and baked beans. It was really good.

The service was prompt. Our server was friendly. I loved the fresh pork rinds we were served before our meal. They were delicious. We ordered fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. They were perfect! The dipping sauce was so tasty. My food was not what I expected, and since I had never ordered it before, I didn't have anything to compare it to. My husband's food looked great, and he said it was good. We ran in to an issue with his food near the end of the meal (I will not divulge the issue). Most importantly, the management made sure we were not charged for his food because of the issue. We have eaten here before and never had any complaints or issues. That's why we went back. Will we go again? Yes. Will I order a dish I am familiar with? Yes. Will their service be great? Yes. Will management take care of any issues? Every time.

Today was our first visit to Uncle Bubbas and it will not be our last!! It was awesome!! The service and food was great. Ann is the bartender and our server. She was very friendly and attentive. I had catfish platter with hash brown casserole, turnip greens and slaw. It was amazing. Shaun and Tracy will go back to this restaurant I promise that!!

Me and my 2 kids came here after enjoying the Dickinson Christmas on the town square. My daughter and I split the Barbecue Nachos, it was awesome and a huge portion, we couldn’t even eat it all. My son had the Brisket Burger and loved it! Our waitress was amazing, didn’t catch her name, and very attentive! Great experience!

Dining in or pickup, we’ve had a great experience with both! I loved the 5 Pepper Burger and my husband said he hasn’t had a tasty burger in a long long time, his was the All American Burger. The onion rings are mouth watering melt in your mouth delicious!

service was excellent.....we ordered The catfish plate and the smoked sausage burger ..Both meals were plenty of food....excellent......will definitely visit again!!

I was really excited when Uncle Bubba's came to Hernando. It seemed like it would be a great restaurant but out of all the food I have had there I have enjoyed just a handful of items, with most of it being subpar. I understand you cant have amazing BBQ everywhere you go but some of the food I have had here wouldn't even make it to my kitchen table if I had cooked it at home. The brisket I had the other day was very tough and dry and was pretty disappointing for the price. I had some good sausage and the pulled pork was just ok. I haven't had everything here but I dont plan on trying anymore...
