While traveling home from Baton Rouge we made an overnight stop in Indianola & looked at reviews for this restaurant. Thought we would give it a try & were pleasantly surprised by this place. The sign in front said reservations only, but the hostess was nice enough to accommodate my husband & me very quickly even though we had no reservation. Mr. Bill’s shrimp (special) was wonderful. Bread is just normal yeast rolls- would like to see a homemade roll or biscuit. Wine and cheese dressing is an awesome bonus. Gumbo was GREaT with a great roux! Made right!!!

Food and service were outstanding. Fried okra cannot be beat - if you like this dish, get it here. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that the staff did not wear masks - irresponsible.
