No one greeted us when we arrived, so we seated ourselves at a table. It took several minutes for a server to bring us menus and take our order. It seemed to take a long time to get our drinks. Our food was brought our one at a time. I ordered the gumbo and did not like it. It tasted burnt. I didn't like the atmosphere and will not be returning.

Friendly service, good food, good atmosphere. Good southern cooking. You must try the Friday night seafood buffet, the all meat salad is great, the hamburger steak, and The Philly steak sub just to name a few.

Atmosphere, simple home town. Locals all know each other, but are just as friendly to outsiders like myself. Visited Gladys’s many times during summers spent in Lex. My favorites include caramel cake, fried pickles, hamburger steak smothered in onions and gravy.

I was so pleasantly surprised to happen upon this little gem of a restaurant while passing through Lexington, Mississippi. The down home southern cooking was so amazing and Gladys is an absolute joy! I loved the fried Okra, turnip greens, hush puppies and coleslaw ( I think the coleslaw may be the best I’ve ever had) Topped it off with a piece of lemon icebox pie and it doesn’t get any better !
The absolute best place to eat. Gladys restaurant is a place you can get breakfast, dinner and supper. It's good southern home cooking with friendly service. A nice family restaurant. My family and I have eaten there many times since she first opened her restaurant and have never had bad food or a bad experience.
