Friendly service, good food, good atmosphere. Good southern cooking. You must try the Friday night seafood buffet, the all meat salad is great, the hamburger steak, and The Philly steak sub just to name a few.
Atmosphere, simple home town. Locals all know each other, but are just as friendly to outsiders like myself. Visited Gladys’s many times during summers spent in Lex. My favorites include caramel cake, fried pickles, hamburger steak smothered in onions and gravy.
I was so pleasantly surprised to happen upon this little gem of a restaurant while passing through Lexington, Mississippi. The down home southern cooking was so amazing and Gladys is an absolute joy! I loved the fried Okra, turnip greens, hush puppies and coleslaw ( I think the coleslaw may be the best I’ve ever had) Topped it off with a piece of lemon icebox pie and it doesn’t get any better !
