My husband and I tried Coterie Long Beach for the first time this past Friday for dinner. We sat in the enclosed patio, views were great. Service all around was incredible from the hostess, waitress and manager. Food was absolutely delicious. We shared the fried alligator, crab au gratin, and lump crab cakes entree. Our drinks were the Gator Bite and Crazy Cajun. The fried gator was fried perfectly...very tender and perfectly seasoned. The crab au gratin was just as good as everyone has said, absolutely delicious. The crab cakes were phenomenal. Probably the best I've had on the coast. Very, very delicious. I would go back just for those 3 things. The only complaints we had were that the dip and crab cakes needed a little more salt, but that could just be our preference, and that the crab cakes were small for the price. Yes, we understand how expensive seafood is. Again, just our preference. Overall, we would say great experience and would love to go back for happy hour specials.
Had a wonderful brunch experience here. The food was delicious.

Had the Chargrilled Oysters, Parmesan Crusted Grouper, & Crab Cake Pasta. Everything was really good. Didn't really care for the brussel sprouts. It was kinda burnt and too sweet & vinaigrette-y for me. But those Chargrilled oysters were THE BEST I've had anywhere. Even better favorite restaurant Dragos. They were big too. The sauce on it was 🔥.. great view of the gulf. Friendly service. MOD stopped at our table to ask how we were doing. Definitely will be back to try other items. So many great options on the menu!

comments: Service was slow coming to us and after receiving the check to finish the transaction.
Food: The shrimp and grits was delicious. The crabmeat augratin needed crab meat. The flavor was good but not alot of crab meet. And both dishes were only warm temperature. I'd come back for another try for different dish. We did like the atmosphere.

Visiting from SC. While looking up restaurants, the food looked great so my family of 7 decided to go. We were turned away with the excuse by the MANAGER "we're booked up with reservations, no walk ins". However, once we returned to the car, I called for availability and was told "we're always taking walk ins but there may be a long wait." The important fact is that over the phone, they did not know our race. However, we are black. My daughter experienced racism at 6 years old due to this restaurant. I am disgusted.

First off, when they say BEST chargrilled oysters, it’s an understatement!!! We walked in to smiling faces. Our server Mary was awesome and one of a kind! She explained everything very well and did not hesitate to tell us what was good. We sat on the patio, it was a little windy outside so the windows were shut but the views and atmosphere were amazing! We will definitely be back and shoutout to Mary again for being the best server ever. (alcohol was great too, shoutout to the bartender)

Our first time. Everyone loved the food! Our server for the evening was lovely...but the kitchen was super slow and it wasn't even a busy night. I would feel uncomfortable recommending it without disclosing the very long wait!

Had the shrimp and grits. Tasted ok, but the shrimp were below par. I’ve had better in St.

Went and tried for the first time. The place is very cozy and nice. The staff was very kind and accommodating. We ordered shrimp platter, oysters, and taste of New Orleans trio. The chargrilled oysters was ok (the manager informed us it was the guys second day of job which is understanding) the sauce was a little thick and the oysters were still kind of fishy. The fried platter was good no complaint there. The taste of New Orleans was fairly ok, the jambalaya was overcooked and the rice in the gumbo and red beans was not cooked enough. Next time we go we will try something else, still not nixing them yet.

I was anxious to check this place out. Looked kinda nice from the outside.
Inside is nice but service and food is so so.
We had reservations but were seated on the patio which was not heated and pretty chilly.
Service was poor and the manager was subpar. It’s pretty apparent that management is lacking and for the prices, the food was just mediocre at best.
Not worth the expense or the experience.
Try Parrish’s across the street instead.
