I came here a few years ago with my dad, my brother and my sister-in-law and wasnât that impressed. I originally gave it three out of five stars. I came back tonight to find that they had improved by leaps and bounds!!! I had the choriqueso and the fajitas Texanas and both were amazing!!! And the service was stellar!!! Our waitress told us that she had just come back after a year away to raise her newborn child; but the absence didnât show to us because she rocked!!! And the atmosphere was laidback and casual and calming. All in all, a great place to eat. 5 out of 5 stars!!!

I was seated quickly but sat for about 10 minutes before anybody finally came to ask if I had received any service. In fact, the gentleman that sat me down eventually came to me and said he would go ahead and serve me even though he wasn't actually my waiter. I ordered 3 crunchy beef tacos and their California burrito which came out very quickly. Initially I was amazed how big the burrito appeared but it was 95% fluff. Almost nothing but rice, beans, lettuce, and sour cream with a few shreds of beef. One taco had more meat than that entire burrito. Definitely not worth $27. I had high hopes but I won't bother going back.

Very rude management.
My husband got shrimp fajitas and my daughter got shrimp tacos. When we got the food, it was burnt. (The grill needed to be cleaned) The onions and bell peppers had black gristle from the grill all over them and we asked for the manager. The manager came over and my husband told him âthis food (and showed him what we were talking about) is burnt and the grill needs to be cleaned, we want these two entrees (that we did not eat) off our billâ.
The manager did not say a word. He grabbed my daughterâs plate and threw it on top of the fajita skillet and took off while speaking in Spanish to our waitress to take it off our ticket.
Then, as we sat there waiting for the check, a DIFFERENT lady starts to come clear the rest of our table off like we werenât there. (I was waiting for a box for my food, which was fine). When we got our ticket there was a side of guacamole on there for $3.25. We did not order guacamole, it comes with the fajitas so I told our waitress âguacamole comes with fajitas, we didnât order a side of itâ. The manager storms over and says âwhy donât you want to pay for the guacamole!?â I spoke up this time and said âfajitas come with it, we did not order it as a sideâ he nods his head in an agreeing manner and takes the receipt and walks away and then waits for us to come check out. I put the cash and ticket on the counter, he pulls the change out very fast and hands me the change all unorganized and disorderly. Extremely rude management, will NEVER be back to that El Satillo location. We love OS, downtown Gulfport and Gulfport locations..

The cheese dip used to be incredible. Thick and cheesy. Now itâs a thin, watered down, flour and cheese mixture just like many of the other Mexican restaurants. I am so disappointed. I would rather pay a higher price for a quality product. We wonât go there anymore. This review is about the downtown Gulfport location.

Came to El Saltillo for the first time. I'm from Texas and was craving authentic Mexican food but wasn't having any luck in the Biloxi/Gulfport area. I stopped here and ordered el Molcajete and a strawberry margarita and it was soooo delicious!! The food was bursting with flavor! I also brought some study materials with me and was able to study a bit. The environment was inviting and relaxing. My waiter Karen was also amazing. 10/10 recommend!
