Service was great, even though they were busy. Their prices are reasonable for breakfast (the only meals we’ve eaten there). It’s our go-to on the weekends when we come visit our daughter at USM Gulf Park.

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat! Unfortunately, this place has become toxic in the environment. Management does not seem to care what happens to its customers or employees. There are no consequences for staff members that choose to pick on other employees or the customers. One of the staff members got very short with the customers in this establishment and belittled them when they commented on the lack of service. I absolutely refuse to go back to this restaurant and give them my hard-earned money in any way shape or form I absolutely DO NOT recommend this restaurant!!!!!

Even though it was their busier time of the morning we were seated immediately and it didn't take long to order and receive our meal. Bri and Robin were excellent. Robin assisted with our initial drink order because Bri's section was full. Thank you for an excellent dining experience. I will definitely return when I'm home again!!!

Had a wonderful lunch here. The mac and cheese bites for an appetizer was great especially if you like lightly fried and creamy, yum. I got the Ruben and husband got the cuban. We were both pleased. And of course we had to try one of their homemade cakes and a brownie! Oh and the beach views are nice too. Staff was friendly and service great.

I ordered delivery on August 26, 2025 and my order was delivered to the wrong address. I immediately called the restaurant and explained the situation to them and was told that I'd have to contact Localby Toast (it's the app they use). I've been in contact with them and also with Uber Eats and since I'm the customer, they can't help me because it has to be initiated by the merchant (Harbor View Cafe) and here it is 2 months and a few days later and I'm still waiting on a refund. I honestly feel like they think that if they don't return my calls and keep brushing me off that I'll give up on getting my refund but I hate to be the bearer of bad news...that ain't going to happen.
I've ordered from them numerous times since but at this point they will not be getting my money anymore and I will tell anyone who will listen to take their money to another Long Beach restaurant because Harbor View Cafe obviously doesn't care about this particular person.
I live in an apartment and this is where my order was delivered which is clearly a house.

This was our third visit to Harbor View in recent months, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable (thankfully we were able to sit outside on the porch), the server, Kristi, was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. We will return!

Too much grease in their pastas, can’t even enjoy my meal and get my moneys worth without eating a plate full of grease and fat. Got this to go from last night. The noodles stick together because of thick the grease is. Trashing it. Can’t enjoy it.

Great atmosphere. Ate outside on the porch and listened to live music from across the street. Got the shrimp poboy, which was excellent. Their homemade chips are so good. Hubby got the gumbo and really enjoyed it as well.
I don't understand how this place has anything less than 5 stars. Our waitress was great. The food looked and tasted great. They cooked my burger to a perfect medium. My wife's Cuban was perfect. I hate that I don't make it this way more often. Thank you for a great experience.

I had lunch with a friend today & while the food was absolutely delicious the service was absolutely terrible. On top of the service experience being terrible, we literally only saw our server 2 times at our table the entire duration of our meal.. I’m not going to go all into detail but we were extremely displeased by the service we experienced today & the looks we kept getting & off of that experience alone I don’t think I’d be coming back. Apparently this is not a friendly place for young people. As two individuals that work in the service industry we are extremely understanding but this was just absolutely unacceptable!

My chimichanga breakfast burrito had a 1” piece of the toothpick used to keep it together during frying left in it. It was also incredibly bland and flavorless. My husband’s blueberry pancakes were undercooked and had very few berries in them, and his sausage was dry and curling at the edges. We sat at the bar and our server was good.
