Being from the MS Gulf Coast I have missed Lil Rays after moving out of state decades ago. Last week, courtesy of Hurricane Milton, we found ourselves back on the coast so I had to have a proper roast beef po boy.

Everything we ordered was delicious and we were crazy about the onion rings. Perfect flavor with a paper thin batter that didn’t feel greasy at all. My seafood gumbo appetizer was good and my wife (rookie) enjoyed her chicken po boy.

Our server was friendly and lunch was perfect. Lil Rays still has “it” after all these years!

Perfect homemade "southern food". Poboys, fried green tomatoes, fried pickles...all homemade and super tasty. Can highly recommend eating here. And very helpful and friendly service ?

If I didn't live over 900 miles away I'd be here every week. Amazing food, great prices, and a great waitress. Thanks for giving my family the best meal we've had so far in this trip

Not the same as it used to be when I lived in the area years ago. Not sure if the ownership changed. Bread and bravy on the roast beef po'boy were fab, bumeat was a disappointment. Seems it has become too much of a restaurant and gotten away from being the great po'boy place it once was.
