This is from couple of weeks ago: Very nice, chill place. Our first time here. We had fried pickles, very tasty, but a bit too greasy for me (I know, duh, they're fried, 😜 I'm just picky); downtowner fries-also yummy. Hubby had a steak with green beans and Mac &cheese - gave it all thumbs up. I had a seaside salad with blackened mahi - delicious 😋 The raspberry vinegarette dressing was amazing as well. All in all, great food, and great service! Hubby said no more Macalisters, from now on Downtowner is the place to go instead 😬

Paid $40 for a quarter inch thick steak that was burnt could hardly eat it they have better steaks at Waffle House very disappointed feel like I got ripped off bad will not be back sides were Bland only positive experience was my ranch with my side salad

They did give us enough food. Waited almost an hour to receive our food. The appetizer was late but came with the course. The descriptions were vague on the menu. Salads don't indicate iceberg or romain. Ruben sandwich was really dry. Maybe they were low on sauerkraut and corned beef. Fried green tomatoes BLT was really lean on bacon. We asked for a refill of drinks but they never came. The atmosphere was nice. Seemed busy this day. Maybe understaffed.

Wow. we stayed in this town for a night on a trip and I love to try mom And pop restaurants. this one did not disappoint. loved the food and the service. I highly recommend stopping by for a meal if you are in the area.

Salads Great, mine raspberry dressing with grilled chicken, strawberries, etc. Wings super tiny, cheese curds yummy. 3 to eat 2 apps, 2 drinks 2 salads, fried okra, and a shrimp dinner $75. Mac n cheese no good.

Was driving through Lucedale and wanted to try a new restaurant. Very chill spot. The food was great, well priced and the portions are quite generous. I got the Mahi Seafood Salad and a loaded baked potato for good measure. I really appreciated that the salad was spring mix and not just iceberg. My server was super kind and very efficient. Glass always fully and she made sure to bring me a box and to go cup without even having to ask. Will definitely be back!
Dietary restrictions: I have to eat Gluten Free and was able to find appropriate and delicious options with ease
