Pathetic experience. Restaurant is under a new name so we expected a better experience than the previous Yamatos offered lucedale. Visited at 7:30pm on Sunday March 3rd. Only a couple of diners in but the dining room was messy and chaotic like they are trying to close already. Not inviting at all. So I made a to go order. Asked if I wanted vegetables with my hibachi dinner, I asked for broccoli only and was told they were out of broccoli. I then asked to buy a few extra yum yum sauces and was told I could not bc they only had so many sauces left for the day. So very disappointed there but I spent money at the local dollar store instead and bought some better yum yum anyways. But as I was checking my order I realized the cashier didn’t bother to ask how I wanted my steak cooked with my order, and I payed for the pricey filet cut. It’s well done and chewy. I ordered lobster rangoons but saw no sauce for them so I asked for some sweet and sour sauce on my way out, the cashier hands me packets of duck sauce.. I look at her blankly and asked for sweet and sour again and was told’ “ we don’t have that here”. My ginger salad was also put sideways in the Togo bag and the dressing was already pored on the salad causing it to make a mess in the bag. Dismal experience. So dont let the new name fool you. Same ol Yamatos. Menus still say Yamatos haha. I almost walked back in before I left to give what they called food back to them and get my money back but I’m not someone that likes to cause a fuss.

Happiness On Purpose
The food was really good. However the lamps shades are way overdue for cleaning. This place would do so well with some TLC and brighter atmosphere. Everything is so dark and sticky looking.

We ordered hibachi steak and shrimp. The steak was requested to be cooked medium, but was fairly tough to the bite. This rice was tasty, but we didn’t receive much yum yummy sauce. All and all, it was acceptable and good portion sizes for the price, but not a place I would personally order from again.

Service was friendly and fun..my food was hot ..my steak cooked right and tender...I did miss the hibachi experience..the restaurant was quiet and clean but disturbed about the small dog who wasn't wearing any type of service vest and it was clear wasn't a seeing eye dog ..another customer carried it in to sit down and eat..
Was passing through town and this was one of the only asian restaurants around. The food wasn't bad all things considered, and our server was nice and our food was served to us at a reason wait time.

Food was horrible. Didn't even get what I ordered. Substituted veggies instead of what was supposed in the dinner portion of the veggie hibachi. The spider roll was just nasty. Dirty table. It used to a great restaurant. Sad that it has went downhill so much.
