We live in Pearl, Ms and are always looking for new places to eat. This is one of the Best we have found. Great Food and Great Atmosphere. Love this place.

My food was really good but it was small for $14, Everyone was super friendly but when we went to the shop to get a mug the guy told us he didn’t know how to use the cash register and to come back 4hrs later to maybe have someone there who knows how to work the register.

We stopped by going to the beach on September 14th for lunch. Service was slow but and the food was decent. Stopped by today wanting to try it over lunch. Four adults and one child. Service was terrible. Our daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter got their food in approximately 20 minutes. They ordered steak tips with gravy, a cheeseburger with fries, and kids burger. The fries were soaked in grease and cold. The steak was over cooked and tough. The highlight of the meal was my wife and I waiting until our kids were done eating and not having our food. Meatballs were overcooked and my sandwich was drenched in grease, barely any pimento and bologna. We were offered no apologies. The restaurant had maybe five others in attendance. They clearly earned worst service and food on our vacation. Good luck keeping your doors open if this is how you treat customers.

Enjoyed lunch there ordered the chuck wagon with steak and the surprise was the size of the buscuit. Steak was cooked perfect and waitress was great.

A friend and I stopped in on the way through town, and stopped here based on the good reviews. Our opinions:
Pros: Very attractive building and shady front porch and patio with games (cornhole, Jenga) and music; very clean and well-decorated; inventive and novel menu choices; attractive food presentation; attentive servers; owner who checked with us several times; farm-to-table beef; my friend loved her meatball appetizer.
Cons: Only ONE option (a salad) that doesn't contain beef! Every single item on the menu, from starters to entrees to sandwiches, contains beef. There are NO chicken, fish, or vegetarian options. I don't eat beef so I ordered the salad. (Additionally, they don't own a fryer, so there are no fried options at all.) It looked lovely, but it was a disjointed mix of vegetables (and pineapple?) and the romaine was mostly the tough stems (the bowl was half full of lettuce stems when I finished). To add insult to injury, we were charged $.93 each for a glass of water!
Conclusion: If you love beef and the idea of farm-to-table, you'll love this place. If you don't want beef, you're out of luck. Simply adding the option for the substitution of a grilled chicken breast for a beef patty would have made this place a winner.

I had brisket which was definitely not smoked as stated on menu. It was good but tasted like a roast cooked in the crockpot. My fries were COLD. My husband ordered a steak and said it tasted like eggs. Waitress never came back to check on us or offer drink refill. It wasn't that busy. The worst thing was the scent machine! Why in the world would you have a machine shooting out scent every few minutes in a restaurant????? I had to take a shower and wash my hair to get the scent off me!

Tonight was the first time to visit as well as a first for our friends that came with us. We all looked forward to eating here, the menu looked great! But, sadly, we were all pretty disappointed! We sat down, and a waitress asked what we wanted to drink.. all pretty fast! Good sign... Came out with the tea and waters, took our appetizer order, got our food order, everything going smoothly... Then the wait! Took what seemed like forever to bring out appetizer, but they were busy, So not a huge problem. Brought it out, then waited and waited, finally brought out our two friends plates. Twenty minutes later, after they had already finished, our food finally came out! The lady came by and said that she was sorry for the wait but they bring out food as they get it made. I gotta say that I have a problem with that. If you take a tables order, then you really need to try to get it out at the same time.. I've worked as a cook and a waitress before and I can tell you that we got one table fixed at the same time, or at least within 2-3 minutes of each other. My husband got the ribs and I got the Delta Dawn burger. His ribs were dry, And tasted like a roast, my burger wasn't good either! It was supposed to have a fried egg on it, but looked more like a scrambled egg and it was dry . We both got the veggies as a side, which were squash and zucchini. Both were raw, and his had juice in them, but mine were like cardboard. My friend got the Filly, which didn't resemble a filly at all, and she said was bland. Her husband was the only one who enjoyed his supper, but all he got was a house salad. I never leave reviews like this, and hated to leave this one! But I just felt like if we had to wait as long as we did, then the food should have made up for it! Also, I left this because I feel like other people need to know what to expect, and the ones who are cooking and serving need to know how the guests are feeling! I don't know, maybe we just went on a bad night, but if this is what the quality of food is all the time, I just don't think they'll be open for years to come. And that's really sad... I'm not sure if we'll be going back, especially after reading the reviews... Looks like we're not the only ones to have issues. Hope this review doesn't sound too mean because it's not meant to be.. but maybe some things can change for the better!

The atmosphere was good. Our service was good! My husband really enjoyed the brisket burger and fries. I liked the meatloaf but did NOT like the pink gravy/sauce on it or the rice. The rice was horrible. I feel if the pink sauce was replaced by brown gravy and rice was "regular " tasting rice. It would have been a much better dish. I will make modifications to meatloaf dish next time I go back.

Was not very busy. Sat at the table for no exaggeration an hour for the waitress to refill our drinks finally and brought out what they call macaroni with beef but looks like way over cooked noodles in a cheese soup. Had enough and walked out, will never be back
