We each got the zip’s burger & split a regular order of fries. There are 4 kinds to choose from: we chose the “battered” & they were quite good! $7.19 for the burger I suppose was fair..it was tasty but I’m not sure I would vote it “best in ms”. The food came out fast; less than 10 min. The one bathroom was super clean! Spotless! We would most likely return again, if passing through the area.

We drove by this place and thought it would be a neat place to try so we turned around and came back. Turns out we were right. Staff was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. I got the LittleZip burger with fries. It was a great burger, loved the sauce. Very juicy. the fries were homemade, just like i like them. We also got a order of fried pickles. They were tasty as well.

I’ve always wanted to eat here. I’ve heard about it for a long time. I got a smaller version of the Zip Burger. It is just like a regular hamburger but has a special sauce added. The sauce is basically like comeback sauce. It has kind of a sweet taste. It was okay. I ate about half of it. I got half fries and half onion rings which were homemade. Fries were okay. Onion rings were pretty greasy of course but good. I just wouldn’t eat too many. My friend got the hamburger steak plate. She seemed to be happy with it. Our waitress was really nice and friendly. I wouldn’t care to go back for a burger but they do have other items you can order.

Absolutely ridiculous how slow this restaurant is. The employees can play on their phone, openly do side work, it’s been almost an hour for two burgers and a kids chicken. Our server is super sweet and she doesn’t control the kitchen times but it gets to a point where it’s comical. Small town restaurant or not.

Food was plentiful and not adulterated by ham pieces like so many in the south. Came to the table not cold but not hot. May have sat at the window to long. Staff was very friendly with both locals and those off the highway. Lack of warm dish cost them a star.

I really really wanted to be able to write a good review of this place. Husband & I were traveling through on our way to FL & thought this would be a good stop. We ordered the burgers as they were touted as the ‘best in MS’. Someone must have thought so because they were slammed!! There were a lot of curbside pickups which detracted from us getting our food timely. Unfortunately, it appeared that our waitress was responsible for hustling the pickup orders out the door. I have to say, she worked her tail off. It took us about 45 minutes to get two burgers & an order of onion rings. The food was just OK. The restroom had an issue with water puddling on the floor from an a/c unit. Staff used a wet vac to clean it up which sounded like a jet engine & was extremely distracting. Sorry to say we won’t be back but I’m sure we are in the minority.

My wife and I try to avoid the chains. Eat local. We’d seen the billboard for Zip’s “Home of the ZIP Burger” and finally tried it. The building at 1:00 p.m. the day before Thanksgiving was surrounded by cars and trucks. It is NOT an impressive building. And the decor is haute plastique! BUT THE FOOD—I got the Zip Burger. Voted the best burger in Mississippi (by whom?), it really was the best burger I have ever put in my mouth. My wife got the smothered steak. She does not get effusive about food. But she couldn’t stop talking about how delicious it was. Our server was Hunter. We promised her we would be back on Friday. We came back. We both got fried chicken. She got white meat and I got dark. Again, she was overwhelmed by the crispness of the chicken. My wife could not stop talking about how fresh the vegetables were that came with the meal. We have not stopped telling people about Zip’s. We’ll be back. Soon.

The Zip Burger and battered are the best! We go about twice a week for the luncheon specials too. May not be the prettiest place to eat but the food is good

Zips is great! We had breakfast here and my wife and I both were very happy we did! Now we stop at Zips every time we go though Magee.
