Ahhhhhh, the culinary experience that is The Dinner Bell. It’s hard to put to words this unique dining establishment. Fine fried chicken & vegtables accompanied by ice cold sweet tea are nod to after-church meals from 40 years ago. Lunching with friendly folk around the large round tables opens up some interesting conversation opportunities. And that nice gentleman with the tussled hair that collects payment at the end with a grin and a wink might just be the owner of said establishment. Keep up the good work!! See you again real soon!!!

Great southern home cooking. The best fried chicken and eggplant I've had anywhere! First-class staff and the Lazy Susan tables always guarantee a great cross-section of meal companions.

Great food. Great atmosphere. These people get tour busses and celebrities on a regular basis.

The food was cold and bland! But what do you expect when it’s just sitting out on the open table for who knows how long! The owner asked me how it was when I was paying my bill and I told him the food was cold and he didn’t say another word!! They know they’re putting out bland canned food!!! It amazes me, how people continue eating there??

Not like it use to be. Food was cold and had no seasoning. The staff has all changed and not very friendly. I realize that we don’t go often so I don’t know when things changed but not interested in going back anytime soon.

My family and I drove from Gulfport, MS to meet other family members, who drove from Louisiana, at the Dinner Bell. We had never been to it, but the other family members had and had really enjoyed it. This was my first time going there and sadly, will definitely be my last, as with ALL of us. Most of the food was cold and didn’t have a fresh taste to it. We kept running out of most items because the portions were so small to begin with. There also wasn’t much of a variety of dishes either. I could go on, but I’m going to end it here. It was a big disappointment and as I said, I won’t be back!
