The food here is true at-home, old-timey Southern cooking, and absolutely delicious! This place is one-of-a-kind.

Southern cooking at it's best! The fried eggplant and fried chicken are a must! Such a cool and unique experience eating at the large round table with a lazy susan in the middle. Will be back!

The experience would have been more enjoyable if it wasn't for the awful stench! I don't know what it was or where it was coming from but the owner needs to FRESHEN up that place immediately. Wash the whole inside with some

Amazing food Polite staff Unique dining experience Buffet style but on a lazy Susan A must try place if you're in the area. It's a unique dining experience with interesting ambiance Personally not a big fan of sitting next to people. I don't know which is the only downside

IVE GONE TO THE DINNER BELL SINCE I WAS A CHILD.. Today the food was awful. Ribs hard and cold just a mess. Drove from Baton Rouge to eat garbage. They have cut back and raised the cost 60.00 for 3 people. They need to close shop. The food was nasty old and cold. 2 dessert choices browns and some nasty banana pudding. Unbelievable. Then made me so sick in my stomach diarrhea for days. BUYER BEWARE.Vegetarian options: None canned veggies nasty and no seasoning pored it out the can

Everything at your fingertips. Giant rotating serviette. All the fixins'. You don't order, so picky eaters look elsewhere. Don't skip the banana pudding.

I’ve been coming here for decades, a great traditional Southern sideboard. Best fried chicken ever!

I come down from Kentucky and had the privilege of having Thanksgiving dinner @ the dinner ?. Food was wonderful and a great experience, I would most definitely be back and recommend this restaurant to everyone. Love the tables ,no wait staff asking you you every 45 seconds, you o.k ? Lol,yes, but can't you see my mouth is full of food!

Round communal tables. It's a great concept! It does promote community among diners. By far the most popular item is the fried chicken, it is so delicious they have a deal of a job to keep up the supply. Vegetables are almost always overcooked, but no more than grandma use to do. Service is efficient and cheerful. For brunch Sunday you got to dash out of church! We all compete to get there quick because there are no reservations. First come first served. Enjoy!

I've been going to the Dinner Bell for over 50 years. I've enjoyed it every time, but it's easy to eat too much. Fridays are my favorite because that's catfish day. YUM!

This is more than likely going to be the least popular review on this page for The Dinner Bell so I'm apologizing to those who love it. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon after a funeral service right there in McComb and the place was hopping! The folks were friendly. Wait staff was extremely on top of their game and kept bringing fresh dishes out so that things didn't get cold and were constantly replenishing. The experience of the lazy Susan table and eating with people you don't know was kind of a neat experience. For those reasons mentioned, I give this a 2.5/3. As a girl who was raised in the kitchen cooking food like this, I wasn't really impressed with the food. All of the vegetables were sweet and were like mush. The fried chicken was delicious--I'll give them that. The red beans were also pretty good. The desserts were either super dry (chocolate cake was hard), or tasted like canned fruit compote with no cobbler crust. They also weren't warm. Cornbread was dry as all get out and the chicken and dumplins lacked flavor. The price for two of us to eat a Saturday lunch that I could've cooked ten times better was way steep ($55 for two minus tip). If you don't have anyone in your family that can cook like this already, then certainly enjoy this place. But if you do...give "em a call and offer to bring the biscuits!
