Took some friends to supper. Order several different items. One had the blackened catfish. It was mushy and looked like it was cooked in a dirty pan not blackened. The mustard greens were just not good. No fried green tomatoes as they can’t get green tomatoes. The fried catfish was tasty but was not hot, warm at best. Hush puppies were pretty tasty and easy to eat. Nice atmosphere and plenty of parking available. Not what we were expecting after all the reviews Waitresses were quick with drinks, were friendly and checked on us often. May have just been a bad night for the cooks May try again but probably will look elsewhere for fish.

This place is well off the beaten path. But..it's definitely worth it. Atmosphere is typical fish house style. The staff is unbeatable, we never have to flag a server down to get service. And they're friendly. The food is always hot and tasty. If you get all you can eat fish plates, you better be HUNGRY!! You will get all a small army can eat in the first serving. There was only 2 of us. You can also choose between whole fish or filet. There was no wait time when we arrived on 2 separate occasions. It's a little drive from Brandon Pearl area, (around 35-45 minutes) and a a few miles (3-4?) off Hwy 49 at Mendenhall. but it's just a quaint quiet place to enjoy a meal with your spouse or friends. The wife and I go on occasion, yes we drive past other fish houses, but they are much more crowded and noisy and the quality of fish (cuts) is lower. A catfish lover knows a belly cut from a real filet. And you can't get service at them like this establishment. We like Easons and have enjoyed every meal there.
