October 7, 2025 - There were 5 in our group. It took 30 minutes to get our food after ordering and it was lukewarm at best. I think it sat under a warmer for a while.
The wait staff are super nice and the place is very clean, but the kitchen needs to up their game for us to come back.

A very sweet, family run restaurant. You can tell it’s a locals’ favorite. Just a few buildings down from the Piggly Wiggly, next to a repair shop. Went there for lunch. They have a hot bar, with your choice of entree and two sides for $10. Today was a delicious looking meatloaf or chicken spaghetti, choice of candied carrots, mashed potatoes, beans, fried okra. We chose to order off the menu for a hamburger and cheese burger (They were out of the pulled pork and hotdogs) and fried onion rings. We had to wait a bit but that’s because it was all cooked to order and it was delicious. The fresh made onions rings were excellent. The burgers were huge and just as we ordered. The service was so nice and friendly. The atmosphere was casual. Highly recommend. We see that they are open M-F starting at 530a for breakfast so we will try that soon.

I'm from Kentucky and had to come stay in nearby Shannon, MS for about a month for work. A friend told me about The Father's Table and it quickly became my favorite place to have lunch. Feels like a Sunday after church lunch with family. ❤️
