2 stars . Food was good but service was very poor. I didn't not receive all of my food that was ordered. I called & talked to a server that wouldn't let me speak to a manager because they were too busy. So I asked her if she could handle it? As in if I order a 2 pc. meal would she reimburse the 3 pc for free? she said no. Lastly I asked if she would simply write my name and number down so that her manager could call me to fix things? Can you believe the girl refused to do this also?? I absolutely love the food but the service is ridiculous.

After looking at many menus for this area we decided on Rafters because we wanted a cocktail after a long drive and they were the only restaurant we could find that served alcohol. The menu needs to be updated as they no longer have shrimp and grits on the evening menu. We ordered the deep fried chicken fingers with coleslaw and potato salad. The chicken was tasty but a little overdone. Cole slaw was nothing special/average. Potato salad was the same. Service was good, except he never took an empty glass or dish. He was friendly and quick. The ambiance was good. It looks like the place to be during warm weather.

Our hotel gave us the menu(although outdated). Nice place, not busy early. They have live music at times. Good grilled shrimp and catfish. Hush puppies a little too done. Friendly staff.
I'm super disappointed in Rafters. We've been before and it was good. Today we waited over an hour for food. 45+ minutes of that time we had no drinks and didn't even see the server. When she finally came out, we asked for drinks. She said "okay" and walked away to the table next to us. They also asked for drinks. She took their cups to the back and got them refills. We promptly walked out. I've never walked out of a restaurant in my life but it was pretty obvious our server didn't want to be there and wasn't going to actually serve us.

Had a great meal at Rafters the other night, the live music made it better as well. I had a wrap and it was delicious! I think they were shorthanded because the bartender was our waitress, but she did a fantastic job and we will be going back:)

I had the fried green tomato app and the fried chicken sandwich. Both were amazing as was the service. I like spicy food, so I had no issues at all. However, my server did advise me that the tomato's would be spicy and if I didn't want them to be they could cook them in a different batter. It was nice to know that this is offered for people that do not love spicy food like me. They also have wraps, salads, and several grilled options for the non-spicy customers.
