We went to Sugaree's this afternoon for our first visit. We purchased several items. We purchased cupcakes, wedding cookies, and a slice of pound cake. The quality of the desserts is phenomenal. You can absolutely taste the goodness in every bite. I must mention the frosting on the chocolate cupcake. The frosting is smooth and reminds me of homemade fudge, but not as heavy. A tall glass of very cold milk with the chocolate cupcake is perfection. I have never experienced a bakery that offers such a high quality product. Please treat yourself to a Sugaree's experience. ❤

Best bakery with killer cakes! Strawberry, coconut, and caramel are divine. Last time we got two half cakes for a birthday and they wrote "happy birthday" on them. Come on Friday and try the chocolate pie. P.s. cupcakes are to die for also, and I don't usually care for cupcakes.

If you’re reading this JUST GO! You won’t be disappointed. Everything we tried was delicious. Caramel cake 10/10. Ding dong 10/10. Italian crème cake 10/10. Red velvet 7/10. We haven’t eaten the brownie yet but it has to be good based on the other desserts. The red velvet icing is delicious, but the cake didn’t pass muster.
When you walk inside, there’s a bakery counter and a center display with samples. There is no seating inside. This was a very traditional bakery. There’s also a freezer where you can purchase frozen whole and half cakes and pies. Beyond cakes, brownies, and pies, they have cupcakes, pralines, lemon squares, and more.
Service was great. And they package the desserts well. However, the server said they do not have a public restroom when my Mom asked. If you need to use one, go to city hall just across the street or a nearby restaurant.
Parking: Depending on the time and date of your visit, parking may get full. There is only street parking available and other businesses are nearby.

I ordered a cake to arrive on the 5th. When I received confirmation of it not arriving until the 8th I reached out via email and by calling and was told the ETA would update. July 5th no cake. I called Saturday and was told the manager would call me back on Monday which was no good because I had an event on the 6th. Fast forward the cake came on the 8th ruined and I spoke to a manager about a refund or replacement cake. I chose to receive a replacement cake even though the event was over. I received the cake on the 10th Wednesday and it’s super dry!! I followed the directions for serving and it’s not up to par. I normally wouldn’t complain or leave a bad review but I am disappointed! The website says that cakes are shipped overnight or 2 day shipping. The 1st cake clearly stated standard ground which is 3-5 days!

Ordered my wife the Red Velvet cake for her birthday, came shipped as described. My wife said it’s the best she has ever had. I myself had two pieces and I’m not really big on cakes . Will definitely order again.
Amazing coconut cake... it's my favorite! That being said, we love all their cakes and treats. The chocolate pie is very good, I love their meringue!

I have ordered from Sugarees on several occasions for events, and have friends that have. The food items are delicious. Our fire district is very small with a limited amount of industry. This causes us to have to rely on surrounding areas for donations to our auctions, etc. Our department have never been on there when we didn’t get the old “we’ve reached our donation limit for the year” saying. Pretty sure they also reported our firefighters (which were properly identified) for stopping by. The big chief in New Albany posted a few minutes later telling businesses not to donate. Cookies here are great, but in our case, their service tasted like dirt.

I ordered the half and half on Goldbelly. Half coconut and half italian cream. The coconut cake is the best tasting I've had yet. Good coconut flavor. For the sweet tooth in the family my hubby said he felt it was a little too sweet. For the Italian Cream, I've never had italian cream with pineapple. That's all it was pecans and pineapple. Texture of frosting was grainy and pretty sweet. Was a nice treat for my Birthday and very glad I tried Sugaree's. Goldbelly did a great job with delivery and wrapping the cake to make sure it arrived in tact.
