Road tripping and saw the sign. Not much to choose from before you hit Hattiesburg. Really glad we stopped in. Food was delicious and home cooked. Fried okra was on point!

We stopped by on Sunday at noon on the way back from the beach! What a great place to stop! We sat outside on the patio and had hamburger steak with brown gravy and caramelized onions, greens, mashed potatoes w gravy, fried okra, and lima beans! Everything was just like my grandma used to make it! The service was friendly and personable and the atmosphere was very welcoming and comfortable. We will definitely be back on our next trip through Mississippi!

Stopped on our way to the beach. My son said if we had one of these restaurants in town, we’d have to stop all the time! Everything was delicious and great service. Clean restaurant also.
Starting with the phone call we made as we were driving on HWY 98, the friendly voice enticed us to pull in and give it a try. We were greeted by friendly staff, and everyone was smiling. The restaurant was clean with simple decor that was attractive. We ordered cheeseburgers and they were delicious!! For dessert they had a choice of blueberry pie or wine cake. Not knowing what wine cake was, and since the server said it was her favorite, we got it. It was also delicious! The cake reminded me of friendship bread that I’ve made in the past, the kind you pass along the dough to your friends and they continue to make it and put whatever ingredients they wanted into it.
Restrooms were clean and overall was a great experience. It is in the middle of nowhere, but definitely worth your time to stop by if you happen to be traveling on highway 98 in New Augusta, Mississippi.
