100% recommend for the best food and service in the area. My wife and I had the best date night here with our newborn. The best steak I’ve literally ever had. Lily was our server and she was very kind, patient and helpful. Everyone was. The hostess was very kind and accommodating. Great experience. I’m already wanting to get back and taste it again. lol
Went to Charred for my wife's birthday. Food was great, but he service was poor. They sat us immediately but nobody came to our table to greet us, take drink orders, etc. Nobody brought water. We noticed that other customers seated after us were helped but we were ignored. They were very unorganized and it appeared management was not onsite. We finally caught someone's attention and the server took care of us. We never figured out who dropped the ball. Loud music from the bar next door harms the atmosphere. They don't respond to their reviews, which indicates a lack of care.
We had really high hopes for dinner here, however, this place is overpriced for just okay food. They have a very limited menu and nothing that we got tasted great or worth the $40 spent on the plate. Unfortunately, not somewhere I would recommend or return to. The service was okay, nothing terrible happened with that but it didn't give the warm welcoming feeling the rest of the town has. My husband and I both thought the "vibe" just felt off. I'd recommend saving your money and giving another restaurant a shot.
Highly recommend this restaurant. They have a new chef and their food is delicious. Started with a oyster Appetizer. My husband had the crab claws and I had the Ricotta Gnocchi Bolognese. Both were cooked perfectly and fabulous. Cannot go wrong with either meal! Our other guest had the fish special. She lives in the area and is a frequent diner at the restaurant. She loves the fish specials!
The crabs claws and the jalapeño margarita was amazing. The restaurant staff is awesome and professional. Ms. Crystal made sure everything was good with my party. I will definitely visit again. Highly recommended!!
Blackened crab claws were great and oysters were fresh! Cocktails could use improvement. Atmosphere is a bit dull and quiet.
Hostess was delightful lady. Showed us our options and was so friendly. Oysters were good. Raw better than charbroiled because of breading. Steak cooked perfectly, potatoes excellent, crab topping too salty to eat. Definitely going there again
My only negative review is how long it took for us to get our entrees. The starters came out in a decent amount of time. However, we sat for an hour waiting for our main dishes. Aside from the that the staff was very friendly, the food was delicious, and their drinks were good.
Went for a nice date night , the food and drinks turned out very well, the atmosphere was great , you'll definitely feel welcomed , we will definitely come back
I ordered Medium Rare but got medium and the cap of my ribeye was crunchy and well done. I'm guessing the steaks are reversed seared, because the steak had a nice crust, but mine was seared too toooo long. Ordered sautéed mushrooms, but the waiter (Roy) came back and stated that they were out. French onion soup and Burbon Smash was very good. Never got checked on to get drinks refill. I guess because a party of 7 came in 15 minutes after us and the tip would be more. I counted 4 times our waiter checked on and refilled their wine glasses and tea. Will not be back and we love steak and tip very well.

Oysters Rockefeller were divine. Ordered the Steak and Frites. Ordered the steak medium. Steak came to the table well done. Looked like it had been burnt. It was so “done” it was hard to cut with the steak knife. They did cook me another one. This one was much better, but my husband was done eating before it came to the table. Sat outside and about halfway through our meal a bar just behind the restaurant started with its very loud music. Just wouldn't sit outside again, unless you're looking for that vibe. My husband had the “Smoking Gun” cocktail, kind of a play on an old fashioned. He was very impressed with it. Server was great. Very attentive. I would go back, just for the oysters Rockefeller.
We love the oysters here: We had about 2 dozen of them but I did not care for the addition of bread crumbs - seems like that is different than last time but delicious none the less.
We went for dinner on Saturday night (18th Feb). This place has no atmosphere, the food is a little bland and average at best, we both ordered the fillet mignon medium and mine was cooked under and my husband's was cooked over and very flavorless. Plus the service was not up to scratch. One person took our order, another person brought it to the table, then the original server came back when we were literally taking the first bite to ask if it was ok! We then we had to flag down someone else to ask for a drinks refill. This place is totally overpriced for what it serves, we will definitely not be returning.
It's a nice little bar and restaurant. We ate at the bar, had nice cocktails. The entree selection was maybe a little limited, yet plenty that is good. For dinner we had the special fish dish which was very good. The star of the evening was the chargrilled oysters, we loved those then had to try the Pontchartrain version and they were FABULOUS, my new favorite for grilled oysters. excellent. good service, happily go back next time in town.
Steak cooked perfectly...flavorful potatoes, green vegetables cooked firm. ..I can't stand soggy, so this hit the spot. I stop by whenever I'm passing through
