Tried Common Ground Projects and loved it. I had the ube latte and matcha brûlée, and both were really good. The aesthetic and vibe of the place are great and make it a nice spot to relax. They’re also connected to By The Fig & The Olive Restaurant, so I might have to check that out next. Highlight of the trip was the fur babies.

Very nice coffee shop. We went mid morning on a Saturday and it was not busy. They offer a nice variety of hot and cold coffee and tea beverages along with a small selection of sweets to have on the side. I made the very delicious discovery of date cake and it's my new favorite thing. It was moist and perfectly sweetened with just the right amount of dates. The chocolate cookie was good too. Kid friendly with table activities, like puzzles and coloring books for older kids.

Best coffee in Ocean Springs and the surrounding areas!
love coming here to work from home it’s such a VIBE. The coffee is always prepared perfectly, and the food is consistently delicious with fresh ingredients. The staff is incredibly friendly, and you can genuinely tell they enjoy serving their customers. On top of that, the space is beautifully decorated and makes it an inviting place to spend time. Hands down the best coffee shop in Ocean Springs.

I stumbled upon Common Ground shortly after they opened, when I was still new to the Coast, and it instantly felt like home. It reminded me so much of my favorite spots in NY. The space is so beautiful, warm, and thoughtfully designed, and the people are genuinely lovely.
It’s the kind of place you can come to work for a few hours, network, meet new friends, and actually feel like you’re building community just by being there. It’s become my third space in the best way.
And the FOOD?! The pastries and savory options are unreal. I love that they have an in-house baker because you can truly taste the difference. But the coffee… the coffee?! Easily my new favorite beans regardless of the roast. They’re just all good! You can tell they really care about their coffee and the quality of every ingredient, and I love that they source from small businesses too.
Such a great place! Owners are super nice too.

We visited from Houston, TX. They made us feel like it was our local coffee shop. Everyone was kind and friendly. Would definitely stop here again next time we’re in town.

Visiting this space was such a breath of fresh air. It’s obvious there’s a community feel here as I watched the staff smiling, hugging people’s kids, & warmly acknowledging every person who came in. The food was fantastic & the coffee truly is the best in the area. Cute gift shop section with really unique items. Can’t wait to return :)
One of our regulars. Cozy environment and always super delicious coffee. The staff are super sweet also.

i really enjoy the calming atmosphere and the drinks are really unique. you can’t find drinks like these in any cafe in ocean springs other than here. the tres leche cold brew was fantastic. unfortunately, the matcha was pretty bad. i understand why, as matcha can be hard to find and many cafes don’t properly whisk it, but if you are a matcha fan don’t get this. it tastes purely of cream. if you are new to matcha you might like it.
edit: last week i went back and got the coco caramiso and baklava latte. both are very very yummy!
I really enjoyed my visit to Common Grounds! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. My drink was smooth, flavorful, and clearly made with care, and everything felt fresh and high quality. It’s the kind of coffee shop that makes you want to stay a little longer, whether you’re hanging out with friends or just taking a quiet break. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with great coffee and a friendly vibe, I definitely recommend stopping by Common Grounds and trying it out for yourself ☕

I am from the Pacific Northwest, so I’ve been to my fair share of coffee shops —I LOVE this one! The Baklava (iced) latte & the Ube latte are particularly delicious for drinks, and the breakfast burritos were so good! The pastries are handmade, not pre-packaged & you can definitely tell, they’re so tasty. My fave is the almond croissant cookie, but the bagels are delish too. The vibe is cute, they have community activities available (puzzles, etc) and they showcase artist-made goods for sale too. The coffee shop is next to a yoga studio & spa, and a cafe, so you really can’t beat the vibe and location.

Pastries and coffee were great. You can tell all of it was made with care and attention to detail. Innovative recipes especially for the south.
The younger staff was nice, but middle management seemed aloof. Helicopter manager who didn’t know what was going on. my wife was waiting for someone to acknowledge her so we could get to go cups for our coffee. While the younger staff was making drinks the manager ignored my wife, apologized to another customer whose wait time was far less than ours. Then gave that customer a free pastry while we were ignored.

One of my favorite coffee shops to go to. It's quiet and comfortable to get work done at or meet with friends. I really enjoy the food you can order from the dog and olive when it's open but the breakfast burrito on the weekend is also delicious. Coffee drinks are always top notch, I just wish they had a larger size because they are so good!

This is the first time I’ve ever felt compelled to write a one star review, which says a lot, because the atmosphere, food, and the two baristas were genuinely excellent. We spent about $30 on lattes and breakfast and were actually excited to come back.
However, the experience with (what seemed to be) the owner/manager was so jarring and uncomfortable that it completely overshadowed everything good.
My very pregnant wife had a small box of pastries from Parlor Doughnuts with her. She was eating one while we were enjoying the food and drinks we purchased here. The owner/manager walked up to her, told us we were “violating a health law,” and that they serve their own pastries, delivered in a tone that felt rude, abrupt, and borderline offensive. No greeting, no explanation, no apology… just a correction and then standing there staring at us.
We immediately said “Okay, we’ll close the box,” and stopped eating out of respect for their policy, but the delivery and attitude were completely uncalled for, especially considering we were paying customers who had just spent $30 and were planning to write a great review.
It’s unfortunate because this could’ve been handled with basic kindness. Instead, it created one of the most uncomfortable experiences we’ve had at a coffee shop, and it overshadowed what could have been a new favorite spot.
