The Bayou Dockside Bar & Grill

Very nice local place place with outstanding oysters and cold beer

First off, we were greeted by wait staff when we walked in which was super nice, and then promptly greeted when we sat at the bar by the bartenders. They had a busy night, so they were out of shrimp but the food was amazing. The philly egg rolls are off the chain, I had the royal reds and my fiance had the catfish. The drinks were amazing and they carry a good mix of spirits and have knowledgeable bar staff and fresh ingredients. Their menu drinks are great and so are the mojitos

Darien was our server and took very good care of us. Great service and food.

Biggest shrimp I've ever had on a shrimp poboy. The Bayou burger is amazing! Our server was Christy. She was very attentive with a great personality. The food and service were wonderful. We can't wait to go back.

You have a great location and great live music but unfortunately we just keep coming back to try again and we are often disappointed. You regularly don't have bushwackers, you are regularly out of food that we came to get, and your hours are incorrectly posted so we've come to eat at noon when you say you were open and we've waited to be told you don't really open till 1:00 even though nothing online is posted saying 1:00. It says on Saturdays you open at noon. It's just one too many times to be disappointed.

Great place. Only issue was it was so crowded, the staff was overwhelmed so it took way to long to get service.

The Mahi-mahi sandwich was a big chunk of fish, and we also really enjoyed the pan seared speckled trout, which had a good spice to it.

Tried Bayou dockside for the first time this weekend. This is the first time my husband and I have opposite opinions. First off, atmosphere was pleasant with a great view and out door seating. Our server was excellent both friendly and attentive. We were there as part of a larger party, and no one had any issues with either of those areas. It was unfortunate that the restaurant was out of quite a bit of menu items, but that Isn't a negative as it showed they were busy Saturday and that certain things are popular.
My husband loved the shrimp and grits and moscow mule he ordered. He said the seasoning was good and portion size perfect.
Myself, on the other hand, was disappointed. I ordered the blueberry mojito which tasted almost completely like soda water. I also ordered the royal reds which came out after everyone else had gotten their food and started eating. The shrimp were very overcooked difficult to peel and mushy as was the corn. 2 other members at the table ordered the same and mentioned the same problem. Seasoning was good however.
We never base our overall opinion on just one experience and will definitely be visiting again for another try.

We found this restaurant through Google Maps while in the area. We have learned to not judge a place by the outside appearance. This was a very good find. We will definitely return if we are ever in the area again.
