This has got to be one of the cheapest, dirtiest, worst establishments I have been to in MS. The wings they serve are definitely not fresh, they have a severe fly/bug problem, their chicken is the driest thing ever, the veggies are rotten, and the burnt ends made me sick. Seriously get your shit together Murky's !

It was our very first southern bbq restaurant since moving down here, and it was absolutely amazing the food service and environment. If I could give 10 stars I definitely would this place is so worth it. I would recommend it to everyone!

Food was delicious and came out quickly. The server was very knowledgeable on the different dishes and 13! sauces for wings. Highly recommended you visit

Being from South Carolina whenever I visit other states I make sure to find a BBQ joint. After a short goggle search this gem caught my eye & taste buds! The Mr. and I went right when they open. It was welcoming from start to finish. The food came out quick & was VERY VERY good!

Murky Waters has a special history for my little family. It was one of the first places we ate when we bought our home, and almost 10 years later it was the first restaurant we took our newborn out to. It's the restaurant we take family to when they're in town. It was even the first restaurant I breastfed in! We usually get take out since we have an infant now, but tonight we decided to dine in. We've never had one complaint about Murky Waters; it always hits the spot perfectly.

But tonight was different. I ordered the bbq brisket nachos. I usually get the pork but the nachos + ranch is a match made in heaven, even moreso with the brisket! Tonight there was white cheese instead of the regular cheese and the chips were kind of scant. I ordered a small and there was a decent amount of meat on it so I wasn't about to complain. (Especially since when we first sat down, it got *super* busy!) As my nachos cooled off more and more, the cheese got grainy and eventually it was just inedible. My husband ordered his regular dish, smoked sausage with fries, and kept biting into things that didn't seem like meat and they weren't gristle either. We aren't sure what it was but despite the special place Murky Waters holds with us, we made the decision tonight to not go anymore.

The quality has obviously gone down and the prices have gone up. We understand inflation and all of those things, and it was a real bummer to make that decision, but we can't spend another $40 to have food that's inedible.

We've been to the new building twice before tonight but it was at lunch and not as busy. Tonight it got loud (with just basic conversation happening, not anyone being unruly) and it was a lot of echoing and just very raucous.

On the other hand, our server was so sweet! She interacted with our son, checked on us many times, and got our food to us piping hot, even if we didn't like it. She was kind and patient as well. I hope one day we are able to give it another shot because the servers are always so good!

It was a quiet Tuesday night. Music was great, very quiet mellow night. Katie was our server and she was amazing to have around. Very attentive and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Our group enjoyed the food. Delicious combo offerings of BBQ and seafood. The bottom floor didn't have the best acoustics for a sit down and enjoy a conversation meal. The waitress even had to ask us to repeat ourselves a few times. Fantastic local IPA offering and the bbq sauce was just right. There is a spicy option but the regular is sweet and smokey. The pulled pork salad was very good. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be or not but the pulled pork was cold. Regardless it was well done!

No handicap parking; rude and irritated that I even asked. We left.

We ordered the nachos with brisket. Brisket was good but hard to eat the way it was cut into big chunks. Smoky old fashion was good. Jalapeño margarita was awful.

First of all you couldn't have a conversation because the chairs were constantly scraping the floor. It was extremely irritating. The server didn't offer to refill our drinks which he passed by several times and looked. Me and my daughter went to the Gulfport location and it was completely different. The small tray of chicken bites was huuuuuge and it was fried with a nice crisp on them. The one in ocean springs was very small. They were fried good but it looked nothing like the ones in Gulfport and the portion was pretty sad. Safe to say we won't be back to this location again.

This was our first time at Murky Waters, 3:00 on a Friday. We really had great hopes, but were disappointed. The service and atmosphere were very good with a rundown of the food as follows:
Ribs: Meaty, but served barely luke warm.
Brisket: Unbelievably dry. Like crazy dry.
Greens: Very good with a peppery flavor.
French fries: Really good. These and the greens were the best part of the meal.
They were out of burnt ends so we didn’t get to try them. Really wanted to like this place, but did not.

Wife and I ate there late afternoon in the middle of Cruisin the Coast. The place was busy ALL day straight with no breaks, but the food was amazing, the burnt ends were out of this world and the waitress great!!
