If you're looking for good soul food around here and true southern charm, this is the place to come to! Served by a lady named Tupac AKA Wonder woman, I was blown away! She took our order while multitasking with multiple others at the same time with a smile on her face because she says she just loves her job. :) Now the food on the other hand, absolutely perfect. I got fried chicken wings and had them smothered with gravy!!! Excellent. Mac N Cheese - perfect. And the meals even come with delicious dessert! 11/10. Great place to eat. Wish I'd taken a picture to share. Guess I'll have to go back!!!

Well thought I'd try this place out. Says closes at 5, I walk in at249 and they ask have I ordered yet I said no they said oh they are closed 🤷‍♂️ guess this is a pre-order place not sit-down and order.

I love some good soul food and Nana J’s is the BEST authentic souls food in the area!!! I see why this place is packed! They didn’t have AC at the time we went and in Mississippi, it is HOT in august and I need my AC . I decided to stick it out and dine in. Let me tell you it was absolutely worth it and I would wait in that heat again!!! I can’t wait to come back!!!

Oh my gosh. I'm a huge foodie and you HAVE to go here. Nana J and her whole family run the restaurant and are the most welcoming and fun people around. Then the food. Oh my God the food. The smothered pork chop is hands down the best pork chop I've ever had in my life. Add the collard greens and the mashed potatoes. Divine. The meatloaf is what I now expect every meatloaf should taste like and the fried catfish is out of this world. If you like oxtail, do it. Trust me. The wings are fried but oh so juicy and the cake at the end is delicious. It's a thousand percent worth going to. Truly. Please make the visit. They deserve and earned it.

We stop on our way back in Texas and let me tell you about this soul food restaurant. I got smothered pork chops on rice with collard greens and sweet potatoes casserole and cornbread, the pork chops was so tender I could cut it with my fork, the greens had a little kick to them I don’t like sweet potatoes casserole but it was excellent only thing that I hate was not getting a extra plate to go those turkey necks looked so good my son in law got them I wished we was a little closer I would be there every day last thing everything was season if you want a good home cooked meal that your grandma cook stop by here

My life partner and I visit Gulf Coast often to see her family. We discovered Nana J’s because we love to soul search hometown Soul food restaurants when we travel to a new state. Nana J’s definitely put their soul (“foots in it”) into each dish and they are very hospitable and it shows on the staff. We try to stop when we are in town.

Im going to start with an apology because I've lived here for 3 years and I never stopped by I was welcomed by the owner and it felt like I was back living with my grandparents which made me feel right at home. the customer service is absolutely amazing and the owner was very attentive to everyone in the restaurant. She made sure to speak to everyone and to make sure everything came out good. I ordered the Catfish strips, rice and gravy, and Mac and cheese. None of the food came out salty and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything is homemade and made with love. I love the vibes from everyone and I loved the feeling like I was home again. Yall will see me again!
