Best table service. Friendly and welcoming. Pulled Pork was full of flavor and the perfect amount of sauce. Ribs were tender, brisket was juicy, and sausage cooked to perfection. We will be back on our next vacation.
Environment is perfect away from loud music, hustle and bustle. The music was soft, tranquil and the conversations were at the perfect tone for a good meal.

Best ribs in town!

If you’re in the area and like BBQ, you need to try this place. I ordered the rib plate and the sauce was perfect, the meat almost fell off the bone.

Family of 5 visiting Oceans Springs on a beautiful Saturday. My husband and I had a taste for BbQ and decided to give this place a shot. To our surprise no one was here. As soon as we walked in we had our orders taken and received our food shortly after. The BBQ was tender and sauce tasty! The Collard Greens and Mac and Cheese were my favorite. Even down to our drinks, lemonade was fantastic. If you’re looking for a local small business bbq, please check them out! So good!

Our family was visiting the gulf area last fall, we are from the midwest and wanted to experience authentic Southern BBQ. We were driving through Ocean Springs and we happened to drive by Pleasant's so we opted to stop as their smoker is literally right out front. The food was really good and lunch for our family of 4 was affordable. The brisket, mac and cheese, and collard greens (which I had never tried before) were delicious! The staff were friendly, too. I almost forgot about getting around to doing this review, but I started thinking about those greens and how I really want to get back to Ocean Springs again in the future. Would definitely stop there again if we make it back!

Pull pork looked like it could have been from the store very mushy

I was famished when we stopped at this location. They say that hunger is the best seasoning. So it was surprising to me how dissatisfied I was with the meal.

I ordered the sausage platter. The main course was very salty. Still edible, but I love salty foods and it was on the cusp of being too much for even me. The potato salad was also a bit salty with a dill pickle flavor. Honestly it wasn’t too bad. The best part of my meal was the coleslaw. Sweet, crisp and flavorful. The miniature pecan pie was good as well, though a little pricey.

The waitress was pleasant, though it felt forced. She left shortly after we arrived, so perhaps she was running late. I was not really aware of what my party was saying either, but they are not really the rude sort so I am left to believe that she just wasn’t vibing right.

The decor was not especially outstanding. It did not really seem to have much of a theme to it, though I got the impression that they were more of a late-nite, dine outside type of establishment. If that is the case I wish I had dined during their targeted hours. Maybe then there would have been some thing that I could have lauded as “worth it”. The place was really clean.

All in all it wasn’t a great experience and kind of pricey for food that was closer to a public school cafeteria plate than a restaurant platter.

Pleasant’s BBQ is the best on the MS gulf coast! Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.. the ribs, fish & brisket are definitely my favorites! The staff is always friendly & kind to everyone that comes in! 10/10 recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for some really good

Sorry but just didn't make it. Pulled pork sandwiches were pork mixed with bbq sauce. Akin to manwich or sloppy joe. Serve the meat with bbq sauce separately, let the customers pork the sauce. Wanted to taste the smoke. Desired brisket but they were out at noon. The pie was a mini size piece. Service was bad. Took order, served and then disappeared. No refills on tea offered. Spoke with Mike for a good minute. Know he is working through new cook but QC and family member serving is letting down the business. Please improve for legacy sake.

AT&T catered you guys for our town hall today & the potato salad had waaay too much mustard in it to the point it wasn’t enjoyable to eat. The pull pork & brisket was good.

Real good food for a good price, especially by todays standards. We’ve gone a few times now and plan to continue going. They’ve always honored my requests for certain sports games. Real down to earth restaurant.

We ordered the brisket dinner, rib dinner and wings with fries. The sides were Mac and cheese, greens, okra and potato salad. The food was ok. Not great, but ok. The mac and cheese was disappointing because it definitely didn't look or taste homemade. The potato salad was very sad and not good. The greens and okra were delicious. The wings were very small and the plates looked like they were for a small child, meaning not a lot of wings with the fries lol. Overall it was a nice place to visit and the man who served us was very nice. I don't think we'd go back to spend that much money again, but I would go back for more okra.
