The Boathouse Bar & Grill

We would have loved to try it as the reviews and photos look great, but my husband and I drove an hour and a half to eat here for his birthday and they are not open on a Saturday at 11. There was also another couple that tried to walk in but doors were locked. Called with no answer. We are going to find somewhere else to take our business.

Excellent quaint spot right off the bridge. Food is top notch! Local beers and of course your favorite local faire. Take a time out, and enjoy the marsh view…

Small family owned seafood place we discovered on our last trip to Gulfport. Great food, fast and friendly service. We're looking forward to returning some day. The seafood platter should've been called the OMG platter as it was quite alot of food and delicious.

Me and my Grandmother went to try it out after hearing about a new restaurant opening in Mikey’s on the Bayou old building. Had the seafood nachos, burger, and crawfish and hands down some of the best I’ve had down here. The prices are great don’t break the bank our waitress was quick to take our order and kept the drinks filled and the food came out quickly and extremely delicious. If I didn’t work out of state I’d definitely eat there once a week.

Cullen was an awesome waiter and person!! Checked in with my family many times to make sure we had what he needed, went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and having a great experience, and was just an awesome guy!! Food was amazing as well, can’t wait to come back!!

Food was pretty good, but the atmosphere was lacking. We did eat at an odd time, but it would've helped if there was some soft music playing instead of the barren silence. View was nice though

took over an hour for food to come and was cold/ missing items. not busy at all when I was here but some servers were running around over worked while others just seemed like they were sitting there doing nothing but watching.

This place had a very nice patio area right on the water. The staff was friendly and offered great suggestions for our lunch. If I am ever in the area again we will be back

The Boathouse Bar & Grill was very surprising! We enjoyed sitting outside overlooking the bayou. It was a beautiful, cool breezy afternoon, but they kicked up the comfort zone by having a see-through vinyl curtain to block the wind, and up above our seating was a personal outdoor heater. It made sitting out there so much more enjoyable. We then ordered the Seafood Bread for our appetizer and the Double Boathouse Platter for two. Because they make everything when you order, it takes a tiny bit longer, but we really don't mind that because it was all well worth the wait. The waitress was very attentive, and not only did she tell us about the wait for our steamer, but she checked in with us frequently and also kept us updated on about how much longer it would be. We really enjoyed the Seafood Bread! It had so much seafood on it!! My sweet hubby really enjoyed it, and he usually doesn't like that kind of thing as much as I do. We then got our Boathouse Platter and WOW!! It was SO DELECTABLE!! There were tons of royal reds, there was sausage, mushrooms, potatoes, corn, lots of mussels, and two huge snow crab clusters. We had some leftover shrimp, mushrooms, and Seafood Bread; there was so much food! We spent just a little over $100 for our food and drinks. We would definitely recommend The Boathouse Bar & Grill!!

Kid-friendliness: There are some cornhole games next to the outside seating. There is also plenty on the menu for children and picky eaters.

My husband and I went for his bday lunch, wonderful service, Kendall was excellent, the steamed seafood platter was perfect ? the whole vibe was great. They even brought him some complimentary cheesecake which I ate ? highly recommend. We will be back. Shop local
