The place was pretty chill, except for the fact that live music is only played one day a week. Sunday is open mic night/ local musicians night, which i think is really cool. Any place that helps local musicians put their talent on display is alright in my book. The service was good and conversation was friendly and knowledgeable. I had low expectations for the juke joint, but it completely blew me away! I'm almost annoyed at how much fun I had. The only downside? I totally forgot to get the all-you-can-eat crawfish. That's definitely on my list for next time, because I will be back. Highly recommend checking this place out – it's super cool.

Came in from Nashville and just happened to find my good friend Big Al & the Heavyweights playing recently. Traveling alone, the staff and regulars made me feel at home. Then the band got me up to sing a short set and then I felt like family! Food and Music. It’s the common thread of human kind. The Joke Joint understands that… I WILL be back!
