Can anyone answer if the rumor is true? Is Shaw's closed? A friend told me the sign is gone and they weren't open any more. Really, really hoping they're still around!!!
This a very nice and family owned restaurant. The catfish is very delicious. You can get either whole catfish or just fillets. Lots of sides to choose from. Get there early, it does get crowded. Highly recommended.
The food was good, but the catfish tasted a little muddy. Coldslaw & frys were excellent. Hushpuppies were just ok. Ketchup & tater sauce on table in large squeeze bottles. Drinks were really nice. Tea & water was served in pitcher left on table for refills. Waitress was on the ball, never waited for more food. She kept bringing us more. The building was nothing fancy but seemed clean. Note: Everything fried in peanut oil.
