Yesterday, the management of our local Hardee's restaurants, run by C&C foods in Waynesboro, MS, decided to go to Olive Garden here in Hattiesburg to have their Christmas lunch party. Two wonderful young ladies served this group of 21 professionals in the food service industry. They served them for hours, and did a great job taking care of their needs. It’s not an easy job, being in food service. And these two servers know that all too well. So, they worked hard to give these special customers the best possible service. Their ticket was in the range of $800, so the tip would certainly help both young women make their Christmases bright. Olive Garden does not impose automatic gratuity to large parties, which most people appreciate and tip accordingly.
Imagine my shock when I learned that these @Hardee’s managers and franchisees stiffed both servers. Not a penny for their tip. The girls were so upset, they cried.

I firmly believe that working in food services should be required for most people. There’s a sacred empathy that comes from feeding all sorts of people. If you have a guest and they tell you they used to be a server, you can know with almost certainty that you will receive a fair tip. They know what it’s like to be in the trenches. Especially during the high stress holiday season.

For these Hardee’s managers and franchisees to not tip those servers was not just rude and classless, it speaks to their values and how they view the importance of their frontline workers as well.

One of those servers was my 20 year old daughter. She works hard. She has two jobs, is a gifted artist, and loves to bring joy into the world by how she treats people and animals. Yesterday broke her spirit a bit and showed her how ugly some people and companies can be.

The truth is, knowing her sense of kindness and feral empathy, if she had known these food services “professionals” would walk away without tipping either girl, she would’ve still made sure they had a great celebration lunch. That’s just the kind of person she is.

So, if you’ve read this far, thank you! Thanks for hearing this angry mama who will never eat at a Hardee’s again.

The manager was rude to the employees. She yelled at them and was constantly correcting their actions. Her nasty attitude adversely impacted the productivity of the workers and made regret my decidion to dine in.. It was clear she never took a course on how to manage employees. Personally, I would have quit rather than take that type of harassment.

I went thru drive thru about 6am Thurs morning when I got to work a biscuit I ordered wasn't in the bag Saturday morning went through drive thru about 6am ordered breakfast when I got to the window I told them about my biscuit missing Thursday morning they said ok we will fix that when I received my bag I looked and again no biscuit I asked about it and was then told I had to call the restaurant when I had items missing so heads up ppl check ur bags here

I simpley ordered a large office..apparently Im an idiot because I was asked why would we serve coffee this time of night. I apologize for disturbing you from the zero customers you had in your parking lot to order a cup of coffee..McDonalds seves coffee. Some folks work night shift. Coffee at 815pm is NOT a sin and maybe you should speak to people with a little more respect! Thanks for the reminder in why we do not eat here on a regular at all

Absolutely disgusting inside. Floors look like they haven't been mopped in 4 years tables also look like they haven't been wiped down in 4 years. Water leaking from ceiling everywhere. Mold everywhere. It with very strong pee smell when walking inside. Workers looked very nasty exposed butt and all. They were not busy and had well enough people someone could of been cleaning. Spilt product everywhere in lobby including all over lids, straws, drink station.

Had to tell them my order 4 times before getting right in the register. Told them more then that no salt on the fries. Well got fries with a lot of salt on them. Then the kicker get all the way home and there is hair in the tenders. Had to drive back to get them replaced for someone else. Mean while my food is getting cold. No hairnets and also employees with there headphone in.

I ordered breakfast through the drive through around 4:16 am. It was a very unpleasant visit. After asking the lady for extra jelly , she somewhat threw it at me. Then slammed the window shut. My husband and I just looked at each other in disbelief.

It was very messy, but they said it was crazy in there previously. The food was good and the lady who helped us was very nice. When we were about done, we noticed the guy in the kitchen went to the bathroom. Shortly after the girl that helped us, went outside. The girl finally came in, went to the bathroom, and the guy came out of the bathroom and went outside. While all of this was going on, we heard a continuous dinging noise and realized someone was in the dt waiting to order, and kept saying hello. I thought there was someone else surely back there to help, but noone ever answered the DT. The guy finally came back in and the girl still hadn't came back, when we left. They were gone a very long time and the customer(s) were waiting for a very long time and ended up leaving.

Good luck getting warm/correct food. Wrong fries and the "hot" ham came straight from the fridge with just a slice of cold cheese. The little girl taking the orders just stares and laughs. Recipt says the name is Madison.
