I was craving a good burger this afternoon so I googled “ best burgers in Petal” The Lunch Box 601 was at the top of the list. We’d never heard of it but decided to give it a try. These were the biggest and best burgers we have ever eaten. They are huge, juicy, and full of flavor. I still have a half burger in my fridge for tomorrow. They also have a Philly-steak that I want to try and they have catfish and steaks!
The hamburger is one of the best I have ever had. It was so fresh and meat patty was real beef and deliciously flavored. Get you one!The catfish plate is a great value. You get dessert and a drink included and 3 large pieces of filet with hushpuppies and two sides. The sweet tea is perfect. My only con: I am not a fan of the cole slaw. Jimmy K's Cole slaw is much better.
Folks, if you have not tried the Ribeye steak from the Lunch Box, you are missing out. It is hands down the best steak in the Hattiesburg, Petal and Laurel area. The steak was juicy, tender and was cooked to perfection. The loaded baked potato was nice and fluffy inside and they dont skimp on the toppings. The salad was fresh and crisp.They let me try a couple of their grilled shrimp and fried shrimp, and they were also delicious. I will be trying their shrimp poboy soon.The...
