I Found a real gem of a place!!! Brought my family down here for Geyser Falls for an all day water adventure! The night before we arrived in town checked in to our hotel and I searched and found Blakes Seafood.. good reviews and a fair priced menu had me excited, however our experience was much more! Kyia at the counter was amazing and patient explaining the menu and the popular items as well as checking on us after the food had come! For dessert we visited the snow cone and ice cream spot and the girls there were amazing! The food was at a great price point and came out fast! All the staff seemed to be helpful and nice! I even meet the owner Blake and Mrs. Angie! Great people Great experience! I would come back in a heartbeat!

HOMEMADE onion rings were outstanding! Shrimp poboy had small popcorn shrimp. I was disappointed in the size, but they were tasty. Poboy was on authentic new orleans French bread. The place is a walkup outdoor establishment, but I smelled a foul almost sewer like smell. The cashier was super friendly! I would visit again.

i’ve been wondering about this place for several years - always seems busy. plus i noticed the sign that said “ beignets”.

after finding a place to park, which is tough cause very few spots, the smell of old crawfish hits pretty hard.

it was hard to get over the general grubbiness of the place. it’s like they opened years ago but been so busy, didn’t have time to clean. except for the tables where you can eat - those were clean. but that’s about it.

my first inclination was just leave but the crowd and the positive reviews swayed me. so i got the shrimp lunch plate + fries + baked beans & beignets + caramel.

i’m shocked at all of these “great flavor” reviews. really pretty bland w/small shrimp. and as others have noted, the beans were small - kind about 3 good bites size. the beans were actually the best part.

the beignets - the thing i stopped for! yeah they were definitely over cooked. a dark brown and not a golden brown. and the caramel sauce was a step above pancakes syrup. a huge disappointment.

so i’m completely mystified at both ratings and the popularity of the place🤷‍♂️.

tried it and it wasn’t all that. maybe the reviews are relative to other options in ol’ Philly.

Finally got to try this place after missing their odd hours. The fried shrimp was amazing, and the sides were all delicious. Quick service, cute spot worth a visit!

We go here weekly🤣 but my son and his girlfriend came to visit from New Hampshire and have missed going to Blakes/Snow boogers so we all went. The food is so good and the desert is also. If you’re in the area definitely stop by.

I was so excited to try this place. Maybe my expectations were too high because I was so disappointed. The menu listed things like seafood platter, combination plate, sampler plate, super plate...without actually telling what comes with it. I had to keep asking the man, who was nice and patient, what came with each thing but it was all really all too much to remember. I don't understand why they wouldn't just put it on the menu. I ordered something that I though was going to be a little bit of several different things. What I got was 1 puny clab cluster, maybe 10 boiled shrimp and one sausage. And that was nearly $30. That would have been fine, except never before had I had DRY crab legs. It was dry and the outside was rubbery and didn't want to crack or even split. Neither the crab nor the shrimp had any flavor/seasoning. I did really like the sausage though. I wouldn't go back though.

Called on my way to pick up a bag of crawfish. Showed up 15 minutes later to be lied to. I heard the I guess owner tell the lady I had to many call in to sell them. Well don’t lie to get people to drive 30 mins to sell them cooked crawfish. Lil man was looking forward to getting to cook today sorry owner and sorry excuse of a business to be ran that way.

Called on my way and asked if they had live crawfish for sale showed up 15 minutes later. Because I live 30 mins away. Then was told they didn’t have any for sale. I know not having my business won’t hurt them. But sorry excuse for a owner and he wouldn’t even come tell me the lie.

I ordered takeout and purchased a half rack of ribs, half a pound of pulled pork, and six beignets.

First, let me say that the staff was very friendly and polite! The ribs had excellent flavor; however, they were so tough that I could only eat one before I had to throw the rest away. The pulled pork was a bit too salty and left me feeling unwell, but it also had good flavor. The beignets were the best part—crispy and delicious! I assessed the atmosphere based on my experience from the outside since I ordered to go.

In conclusion, I felt as though I wasted $15 on the half rack of ribs and had to force myself to eat the pulled pork because it was too salty. I didn't want to feel like I wasted money on the pork. I would imagine the seafood might be better due to the positive ratings and the fact that “Seafood” is in the name of the restaurant.
