I had an early dinner there today for the first time that I’ve been there. I got the crab meat au gratin. It was full of jumbo lump crab meat, the sauce was fascinating and the cheese was perfect. I was so very well satisfied with that meal. I can’t wait to go back but it surely is a long drive.
Evidently they don't deal with large parties well. We had a table of 8, one of the meals did not come until the check came. Another meal didn't show up until halfway through. After paying $35 for the snow crabs with corn, potatoes and sausage we got two clusters and 1 corn. The waiter was very rude. Asked to speak with the manager but he never even had the gumption to walk to the table to speak with us. Over $400 total and everyone was disappointed. We will never be back.
Manager told us she does not care about food allergies
Absolutely hate I have to even post a bad review to a place we use to absolutely love but here it goes. Very disappointed, angry, upset, blown away, and embarrassed with our visit tonight. We had a family dinner planned as usual. Party of 4. We were seated no issues. (Hostess saw what we had, nothing was hidden). Waiter comes to get our drink order, sees our daughter, and instantly becomes rude because she has chicken nuggets so we ask to speak to the manager and he walks away. After he sees we are not leaving he finally returns with a manager. We try to explain the situation and the manager proceeds to tell us that she doesn’t care if our daughter has a food allergy. She did not want to hear anything we had to say. (This manager spoke to us the very last time we were in there and asked our daughter if she was enjoying her nuggets!) Then she tells us we need to leave. So in absolute shock we leave. Embarrassed, hurt, angry. Just absolutely confused. (Our daughter has several food allergies and it is safer for us to bring her food no matter where we go. On top of this she is also autistic.) We have been here at least 2-3 times a month since they have opened. We have always brought her food and had no issues until tonight. So what changed? Why not an explanation instead of telling us to leave? Or a warning and then simply ask us to not bring in food next time so we know not to eat there? But no y’all had to make a scene upsetting and embarrassing our daughter. Disturbing other customers that were in total shock with us! This could have been handled in a much more professional manner. No adult should bully a child or shame them for being different. We will not return and will make sure others are aware of this situation. Y’all do better. This is unacceptable. As business owners ourselves this is just not how you do business. Especially if you care about your customers.
Awesome little place. Definitely worth the try.

BBQ Shrimp was OK. It was not like the BBQ Shrimp from most of the New Orleans restaurants..... tasted like it was from one of the seasoning packs....definitely missing something.

Took our daughter and our son-in-law here for their first time. Tony was our waiter. He told us of a new dish, crabmeat cannelloni with Alfredo sauce, and it was awesome. The pasta, which was made in house, was worthy of a New Orleans Italian restaurant and the amount of crabmeat was exceptional. Everything else we had was also very good. We've never been disappointed.
