Stick with the whole fried fish and skip ALL the other seafood! I love crispy fried fish fillets but that's not what we got. Soggy oysters and fries😥 mystery crab cake and a disgusting soft shell crab. Not the experience or food we hoped for. 3$ watered down tea. 42$ Comon' yall can do better. To go box was a much better deal. 12pc fish fries hush puppies slaw and a gallon of good tea. 45$

Placed an order online to go, and was delighted with the quality of food and quick service when we arrived. We're from out-of-town, and we were told Cuevas was an excellent choice for catfish.
I always thought catfish was so-so, but Cuevas sets itself apart and has really perfected their offering. The sides were plentiful and absolutely delicious. My family and I were pleased with everything, even down to the half-sweet/half-unsweet tea that the waitress mixed up for us on the spot. The coleslaw especially is 10/10, probably best I've ever had.
When we come to visit again, hopefully soon, we'll definitely be coming back to Cuevas for sure.

The soft shell crab poboy was not good; cold and had a bad taste, wife didn’t eat more than a bite .Bread was stale. My crab cakes ( frozen not fresh) were fair, fries were not hot. Service was good. Will not return.
We lived nearby for 20 years and believe Cuevas has the best fried catfish in Mississippi and Louisiana. We’ve moved now and travel but every time we pass through we stop if we can to remind ourselves what great Catfish really taste like.

Just like the Cuevas fish house from back home! Very nostalgic. Excellent service. Feels like family when you’re in there. Very homey and one of the owners (presumably) walks around asking how everything is every time I dine in. They have excellent fried whole catfish and fixins. Good for special occasions or every day dining. Love that they are open as early as 2 pm as well. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’ve never been!
