We visited Cuevas’s yesterday evening when they were pretty steady but I have to say every employee handled it so well. Our past experiences we have not enjoyed to much but YESTERDAY…. Man the food, the atmosphere, the walking into every employee and customer laughing and enjoying time together. And that GUMBO! I can’t say enough how it was back to the original gumbo! That’s what this business has always felt like and I can’t put enough stars to truly let everyone know how much we enjoyed the food, the owners sitting and talking, we noticed the employees pulling together and working and smiling(we were told by Ms. Heather after the fact they were short staffed) but I can’t praise the crew enough in how I watched them smile and laugh no matter how busy they were! We truly enjoyed ourselves yesterday for the first time in a long time! So I pray the employees and owners see this review and spread the word of how amazing they did yesterday! We will be back more often! Keep up the amazing work!

Stick with the whole fried fish and skip ALL the other seafood! I love crispy fried fish fillets but that's not what we got. Soggy oysters and fries😥 mystery crab cake and a disgusting soft shell crab. Not the experience or food we hoped for. 3$ watered down tea. 42$ Comon' yall can do better. To go box was a much better deal. 12pc fish fries hush puppies slaw and a gallon of good tea. 45$

Placed an order online to go, and was delighted with the quality of food and quick service when we arrived. We're from out-of-town, and we were told Cuevas was an excellent choice for catfish.
I always thought catfish was so-so, but Cuevas sets itself apart and has really perfected their offering. The sides were plentiful and absolutely delicious. My family and I were pleased with everything, even down to the half-sweet/half-unsweet tea that the waitress mixed up for us on the spot. The coleslaw especially is 10/10, probably best I've ever had.
When we come to visit again, hopefully soon, we'll definitely be coming back to Cuevas for sure.

The soft shell crab poboy was not good; cold and had a bad taste, wife didn’t eat more than a bite .Bread was stale. My crab cakes ( frozen not fresh) were fair, fries were not hot. Service was good. Will not return.
