We love the shrimp & oyster plates. Fish on bun is really good. They know customers by name and i call it in say im calling to pick up & its always hot & service is friendly. This is our local place for seafood.Thank you for serving my family all these years. Sorry you had to close you will be missed.

Something happened since I have been here last, it's been about 6 months, but quality has declined it seems. Some of the food has become generic.. like the stuffed crab and shrimp. MAJORITY bread crumbs! It was better when I first tried this place but now... not so much.

Need to update hrs on their website. Just drove from sldiell because web site said they open at 11.am and get there and they dont open until 3pm on Sat.. waste of gas

Yesterday was our first visit to this quaint, hometown restaurant. We got the special which was shrimp and catfish. They know how to do it right. We also sampled their gumbo and coleslaw. The service was perfect, the atmosphere was very casual, and the food was great. We will definitely return if we go back to the area.

I'm a chef, picked up a side hustle there....I'm sorry people....I have to say it's the most disgusting kitchen I ever seen.....i had to quit..And to think I used to take my grandmother there to eat....I'm going to do them a favor and leave it at that.....if that was my kitchen, I would be ashamed....?. Food is good but after witnessing what I saw.....makes me angry and disgusted... absolutely no love or passion other than to make money....No kitchen no matter how long you been there should ever look or be handled in such a matter, pure laziness and neglect..I'm sorry....have to say it.

Most excellent! The service was friendly and the food was phenomenal. We had the seafood basket which was a steal at $8.95. The fish and shrimp were fried to perfection. The hush puppies were crisp and flavorful, and the coleslaw divine. Watch out for that tartar sauce, it is dangerous. I could chug that heavenly nectar. We will stop here whenever we are passing by!

This hidden gem of a spot!! OMGOODNESS!! The catfish the hushpuppies the sweet tea the service but the Creme de La Creme is the POTATOE SALAD!! YES the potatoe salad!! Sweet Baby Moses i can't say enough about this place that looks like a rock but is a diamond i tell ya!! If you want delicious homemade eats with got fresh catfish and shrimp for prices that are practically giving it away this is your place!! We were started and had passed Slidell otw to home but didn't wanna wait until we reached Hattiesburg... we didn't know what to expect but we saw they served catfish and bragged in good eats.. they didn't lie!! It was so freaking good we couldn't stop eating.. now if the pie was also homemade instead of Mrs Callenders we'd be in the Doe (door)!! The service is amazing the pol i met there eating were friendly and loving and the food. Well you can read.. the food is spot on!!

Great atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door. The customers were happy, along with the staff. I love that they only take cash. Keep big business out of small business. They don’t need to pay fees to big banks. I love that they had my favorite root beer, Barq’s . The seafood was cooked perfectly. We got a shrimp Po boy, ( the bread was perfect as well) a shrimp platter, a shrimp basket, a cheeseburger and a pecan ( best that I’ve had. It was like butter) . Everything was delicious. The potato salad was most likely the best I’ve ever had. And the tartar sauce…. I have no idea what they do, but daaanng. I wasn’t salty either. Thank you!

Arrived at almost 11h30 am precisely, and ordered one of their catfish poboys.The poboy, even though it was their default standard size, was still quite large and had actual catfish filets instead of some of the processed junk fast food restaurants tend to use.It's a very good place to stop off and grab a quick bite during a long drive, and the poboys there are actually good for several hours after picking them up.One thing of note: they cannot take any form of card, so cash is a necessity. However, they do provide a third party ATM so that people with cards only can still pay.
