I stopped by and picked up a to-go order when covering the Quitman-Stone game. Food was cooked well and service was friendly. The burger was absolutely perfect and everything you want out of a burger without being greasy. Even though it was to-go, the bun was not soggy. It came with one side and a drink for about $10. You can’t event get fast food for that cheap anymore. I really enjoyed the old hardware store interior. The antique piano and old receipt books were cool to look at. Would definitely recommend and I’d go out of my way to dine here again!

We were passing through this area coming back to AR from Gulf shores and we decided to try this! The 1905 burger was the best burger I think I’ve eaten in my entire life lol. The french fries and ranch was really good as well. I have nothing bad to say about this place. The young lady that checked me out for my to go order was very polite! I wish we had one of these back home!

Everyone there is so friendly, even the police and deputies. If you ever want to find a good place to eat, look for where the police eat. And they eat there.???

First and foremost, Chefski's Restaurant is a Family Owned and Operated business, which means when you spend your money here, it goes back to Quitman / Clarke County, MS. My family and I will always continue to support this small business because the owners are so very humbled by the amount of support people have shown them over the years.

Secondly, of course there will be good and bad days along the way as the food industry is constantly changing. Prices go up and down depending on the market times in which we're living. Just because a small business owner has to go up a dollar or two in order to make ends meet, doesn't mean we stop supporting them.

Thirdly, as a supporter, customer, friend and someone who shares my opinions quite often, I think this establishment is a hidden gem! Located in a building filled with history, while dining, if those walls could talk there's no telling what kind of stories you could hear. The historical and educational aspect of the restaurant is simply amazing within itself.

Finally, in closing, the owners have invested a ton of their own money, to make this place a success. Sometimes on the weeknights, it's hard to see only two or three tables filled, however the owners never give up! They keep pushing forward to keep the doors open so that their able to serve and give back to their community.

It's so nice that Barbara, David (and the entire crew at Chefski's) is keeping this dream alive by welcoming good, friendly, down-to-earth customers with open arms, always serving and treating their customers, which they love, like family!

Keep up the good work Chefski's!! We will continue patronizing this business as long as the doors are open. We love y'all!

Parking: The business is located at 124 Main Street in Quitman, MS. Customers may park along the street, directly in front of the restaurant, on the side of the building or in the back. Many convenient options to choose from.

Kid-friendliness: Kids are always welcome here, in fact, this has become one of the premier businesses for a family to bring their children due to cost-effectiveness of meals.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp located in the font of the building with easy access to and from the restaurant.

Upon a drear and desolate street, there stands a beacon of gastronomy, Chefski's by name, where the weary traveler may find respite. 'Tis a place of culinary alchemy, where each dish doth tell a tale of flavor most profound.

In this abode of feasting, I found myself ensconced within walls steeped in history, the air redolent with scents of searing steak and the ocean's bounty. The steak fries, akin to golden ingots from Prospero's own trove, did crunch with satisfaction beneath my pensive teeth. The chicken Alfredo, a silken tapestry of cream and fowl, did weave a narrative of comfort upon my yearning tongue.

Service, swift and courteous, as if each patron were nobility, graced by the presence of the establishment's stewards. The atmosphere, a tapestry of conviviality, where laughter and music did intertwine like the ivy upon an ancient, storied wall.

O, Chefski's! Thou art a culinary crypt wherein lies interred the secrets of flavor and mirth. Thy offerings, a requiem for the hunger of the soul, doth leave an echo of satisfaction long after the final morsel hath departed.

Five stars I bestow upon thee, Chefski's, for thou art truly a hidden gem off the beaten path, a treasure trove of gastronomic delight. May thy hearth forever glow, and thy tables be ever laden with the bounty of thy wondrous fare.

We got there right after five (when the buffet was to start). Lettuce was mostly brown and ranch dressing watered down. The fish that we were told were filets were the cheap strips that tasted fishy. The fried chicken was so dark it looked burnt. No tartar sauce. Everything looked like it had sit since lunch. Maybe lunch is good. I will never find out because not going back. Maybe just a bad night. Should have left when we saw only one couple seated. So disappointed.

We arrived at 1 PM on Sunday for the buffet. Even though they close in an hour, they still had a good selection. Just plain good home-cooked food. Hamburger steak, chicken strips, rice and gravy mashed potatoes and good salads. A good experience under $15 per person. .
