Ate here for lunch on Thursday September 14. It was superb - had catfish, coleslaw & potato salad for my meal & blueberry cheesecake for dessert & an Arnold Palmer to drink.Met Marcus & Marie the owners - super nice people. I’mKinda biased because my great nephew Will Harris was the chef . The catfish was so tasty but naturally he wouldn’t tell his uncle what secret herbs & spices he used on catfish!Overall it was a super dining experience!

The most recent (low star) reviews are NOT indicative of ANY of the dining experiences we have had at One Ten Main. They are honestly hard to believe - but everyone is entitled to their review. My husband and I are regular diners at OTM. We have NEVER been disappointed with anything we have tried- and we’ve tried a lot. Chef Marcus is an amazing and inventive chef, and his protégé Will is following so well in his footsteps. Marina and the servers, including Megan and Kali, have always been attentive and friendly. This isn’t your average restaurant- it’s top notch and we’ve been a lot of places! Take a chance if you haven’t- we truly believe you won’t be disappointed!

The most inventive and intentional food in east Mississippi! Each ingredient has a specific and identifiable role in every dish, and is expertly balanced.Subtle flare is added to every plate that also provides a great presentation while not going off-course in regards to taste.Restaurants and Chefs like these should be celebrated as they are particularly rare. If you are in the area, it is a must try.

Normally I'm a huge fan of Chef Marcus' food and have gotten to enjoy it many times at the Threefoot Brewery. When I found out he was opening a restaurant of his own, I was very excited because I knew previously he hadn't been afforded the creative liberty to cook what he wanted. I attempted to go two weeks ago for my birthday, but the business was closed due to a death in the family. Understandable, but still somewhat disappointing since I'd driven all the way from Lauderdale, but I suppose I should've checked Facebook or called first. Finally got a chance to come back this weekend, and ordered quite a few things. Most of the cocktails at our table tasted fine, but were quite lacking in alcohol. Learned that the bartender was not normally behind the bar, so that could be forgiven. The fried green tomatoes were excellent, but I could've done without the tails still being attached.I ordered the Filet One Ten, and I really wished I hadn't. I ordered it Medium, and received it well-done. I asked the server if she could have it redone, and she took care of it without issue. I asked for it medium-rare the second time and hoped it would come back with some modicum of juice and pink to the meat. No dice. Not wanting to be disappointed a third time, I just ate it without further complaint. I'm glad that it came with a sauce, because it would have been borderline inedible without it. I've also never seen a filet that shape, and that thin, but that could have been forgiven if that were the only issue. The lump crab it was served alongside was okay, but a very small portion. The asparagus was okay, and the cheesy potatoes were alright, if not a bit underseasoned. My fiancée's chicken sandwich came with bacon that was almost completely burnt, the shrimp po'boy another party member of mine ordered had 4 pieces of shrimp total, and the fries served alongside were cold.I'm not mad, but I'm severely disappointed. I read on Facebook where the chef was having back issues, and I sympathize, but if you can't cook a steak without overcooking it after two attempts, serve fries that aren't cold, and cook bacon without burning it- you don't need to be open. I don't say that to be rude, but out of concern. Very disappointed, but I may try again in a couple months when/if things get better. Just sucks to spend $100 and not really enjoy much.

I want to start this off by saying that we're big fans of Marcus and his culinary ability, as well as his inventive approach to food. We first learned that we loved his work when he was the chef at Threefoot Brewery, and we've waited months to eat here at his restaurant. The first time we tried to come for my fiancé's 24th birthday, we made it all the way there to see that it was closed—due to a death in the family. Totally understandable. So tonight we came, very excited, with our mothers in tow, and left very disappointed. Before I get into things, I want to acknowledge that Marcus is having health issues and the place seemed to be short-staffed. Our drinks were made by somebody who doesn't bartend out of necessity, but they were good. Our appetizer—the fried green tomatoes—were excellent. Best I ever had. The problems began with our main dishes. Lots of courses were missing from the menu and the dish my fiancé came for was unavailable, so he got what I planned on getting. That said, I went with my second option: the Red Headed Devil. I got this having loved the hot honey chicken sandwiches Marcus did at the brewery, and when it came, the bacon was burnt to a crisp. When I flagged down the waitress, hoping for fresh bacon, she took the plate and brought it right back, explaining that the bacon fried along with the chicken and that they didn't want to fry it longer, and was I okay with no bacon, if I understand correctly? After having seen my fiancé send his plate back as well, I didn't have the energy and accepted it as it was. As I ate it, I discovered there was also no cheese. Still, I was both disappointed and relieved that I got this and not what I had planned on originally, since this was so much cheaper. My fiancé on the otherhand, was not so fortunate; he got the One Ten Filet. When it arrived, it was the saddest filet I've ever seen and he asked for medium and it came very well done. So it was sent back, him having asked for it medium rare this time, and it was basically the same. This time he just accepted it, his mother remarking that you shouldn't have to pay $40 for food that isn't how you want it, and I tend to agree; people do not have $40 to throw around for a dry, overcooked steak—yet he did. There was barely any lump crab meat that was promised with the meal, not enough to warrant it being there. The baked potato had to be subbed with some kind of cheesy potato baked dish. Nevermind my food, I was heartbroken for him because he was the most excited and the most disappointed. All of our fries were cold and just okay. My mom said her po-boy had like four pieces of shrimp and it was mostly spring mix. My fiance's mom said her burger was just okay, and there was no condiments on it besides the bacon jam. We left disappointed and the drive home was quiet. Maybe it's our fault for eating there tonight knowing the circumstances, but I don't feel like it's an excuse for our experience. Perhaps the restaurant should have remained closed longer so that the quality could be to standard and the staff could be fuller. It is my hope that this review is not reflective of the restaurant as a whole and that when it's back on it's feet, it will be better. Our food wasn't even discounted or comped or anything, and I'm not sure we'll back, but if we are, I hope we have the experience we hoped for.

Would highly recommend the drive from Meridian to eat here! Food was outstanding! Margaritas and Moscow Mule were perfect! The Grilled Oysters Clark were a new twist - hot succulent and savory! The Elk Chops were fabulous the chargrilled flavor was superb! Cooper’s Grouper was flaky light and melted in your mouth! Crème Brûlée was a nice way to end the meal! Delicious! Our waitress Anna Claire did an outstanding job! Friendly and courteous! Take the time to drive to Quitman for a new dining experience!

Went to O.T.M 5/4/2023 what a wonderful addition to Quitman MS!! I have eaten at 5 star restaurants and have left slightly disappointed, BUT O.T.M did NOT disappoint. I know the prices are a little more for a small town but honestly the food quality, quantity, presentation and SERVICE were top notch! Will definitely visit again when we come home for visits. Excellent job! Can’t put into words how wonderful this place is, give it a try you won’t be disappointed!
