On our way back from Memphis to Birmingham, we passed by this spot, decided to stop and grab lunch. I had the brisket Philly cheesesteak and it was incredible. The owner/chef came out and spoke with us, his wife seated and served us, then he came out and told us the story of how the place came about and shared his barbecue competition experience. All in all, great food, great people, great time!
The food was delicious as usual, but I don't know what has happened to the service. Usually everyone is super friendly especially when Deborah was there, however the past three times we have been the new servers have been there. There is no hello when you walk in anymore, don't you dare ask about anything on the menu and expect a response other than an eye roll, and definitely don't expect a thank you when checking out. The food here is amazing as is the service! Catfish is wonderful. Everything is homemade. Hummingbird cake is great. Would recommend this place to anyone. Great atmosphere and easy to get to as well off of the highway in Red Banks. I look forward to going back soon.
