While I will still recommend Kroger and for years I’ve recommended it over all other grocery stores - I had the rudest person at self check out early this Thursday morning - A blonde hair older lady I didn’t catch her name but I had already checked myself out because there wasn’t a checkout open that I didn’t have to check myself out at and saw some flowers in the floral department I had missed - I have always bought my plants from them- however I left my paid for groceries at the front and I accidently bumped the yellow sensor chain trying to get thru over to the floral department (that blocked off the isle where I didn’t have to walk all the way around the store )- she wouldn’t let me go to the floral department and told me I had to go all the way around the store if I wanted to look at flowers… it wasn’t that she wanted me to walk around… it was the body language and rude demeanor - naw!!! thanks tho!!! I spend more buying flowers locally with u guys… for many occasions and almost all my groceries - politeness doesn’t cost a thing - I have never had less than stellar customer service there until today…Thursday August 28 @ 7:15am and it really makes me miss good customer service … I work in customer service and it doesn’t cost anything to be nice and u can upsell when people are trying to look at ur merchandise … and gotten more of my $$$ JS…
Tried pickup for the first time. AVOID! They called me 4 hours early and asked me to come later because they were “behind”
Then, as I was making the 40 mile drive to the store, a completely different person called and said it would be another hour. Don’t waste your time. They haven’t got it down yet. Fail
Edit: on a plus note, they gave me 10 dollars off my order for all that. Your choice
Ive been going to this Kroger since it opened and never has it been as bad as it is now. The parking lot is full of trash, employees just walking all over customers without looking or a sorry when they run into you. The employees act like why are people even in here. The managers yell at employees across the store trying to find them, like they're a lost child (unprofessional). I witness management getting on to the deli department several months back reprimanding them in-front of customers which is unprofessional and degrading, that could have waited to have a team meeting in their break-room. She was stating if you have a problem with me don’t submit a complaint to my boss come to me with your issue. I see why they did go to her boss, for her to be confronting them in-front of the whole store.
Then Ive had an employee complain to me while I’m checking myself out that she hates being over there but they think she stole money so shes being punished and stuck over here at stupid self checkout…. The music is so LOUD throughout the store. It’s unclean and almost all the freezer section doors have stuff growing on them and never wiped down. The freezers have puddles of water around most of them and no wet floor signs or anything trying to soak it up just standing water everywhere. This Kroger has significantly gone down hill fast.
This particular Kroger was very clean, organized, and had almost everything you would need. It was a very pleasant experience until recently..
Now it's like no one cares about the appearance. There is a God awful smell almost like rotten fruit throughout the store. There is some meat that feels cold and looks fresh, but you soon learn it is spoiled when brought home and prepared to cook for your family. There is trash all through the parking lot, which was never bad before. Maybe a change in management? Maybe a change in standards? Maybe it's best to go to Sam's Club for your needs until something is done? I mean it's no better off now than Walmart. Unacceptable...
Great prices, quality produce, meats, and dairy. Friendly and helpful staff and management!! Great management and staff, always willing to help
Everyone who works at this Kroger is very friendly and helpful. The store is always clean and tidy.
We buy all of our team water and Gatorade at Kroger
I'm rating this on fuel pumps. We have a 35' fifth wheel and it was easy in and easy out.
This Krogers needs a revamp it is serving more people than it was when it was first built. I know people that go to other krogers bc this one doesn't carry large enough selection. My mother will go to the one in Byram. Thats money that could be spent at this one. Between Florence an Richland there is enough people that would shop more at this location if it had upgrades like the one in Byram.
They didn't have what I wanted even though it says they do online.

Very good ?
Stopped for fuel, no wait. Back on the road quickly.
Cashier and meat employee was very friendly and helpful ☺️
Never a manager available and if you do happen to get someone to answer a call they disconnect you. If you call back, you get referred to a number with an automated message. Zero stars!!!
We visited this Kroger on our way to a funeral. The flowers we had ordered had been lost in transit and were not going to make it. Whitney, the florist on duty, told us she would help us out. She helped us put together the most beautiful arrangement and put so much thought into every detail, even though it was the end of her shift and NYE. We are not from MS so will probably not ever see her again, but she deserves a raise because she helped us create a beautiful tribute to a beautiful lady. Thank you Whitney!
