Restaurant Review: To-Go Order I recently ordered takeout from a local restaurant and wanted to share my experience. Catfish: The catfish was excellent! It was seasoned perfectly and cooked to perfection, making it a standout dish. Fries: The fries were freshly cut, fried, and well-seasoned. They were crispy and delicious, complementing the meal nicely. Coleslaw: The coleslaw had great flavor, but the texture left something to be desired. It was too watery and not creamy enough for my taste. Okra: Unfortunately, the fried okra was a letdown. It was fried soft and lacked any seasoning, so I wouldn’t recommend ordering it unless this is your preference. Hushpuppies: The hushpuppies were by far the highlight of the meal! They were crispy on the outside, soft inside, and had the perfect balance of sweetness and savoriness. Overall, while there were a few misses, the catfish and hushpuppies made the order worthwhile!
Great food, and atmosphere.

We had high hopes about this place but it grossly disappointed.
The initial service was warm albeit slow. The decor and ambiance were nice - perfect for the Mississippi delta. We received our meal less than five minutes after submitting our order - exceedingly fast. Portions were decent but not overly generous.
Yet, a $10 burger ballooned into an $18 bill. They charge for water ($1), credit card use (2%), sides (menu said one side was included but they charged for it). After tax and tip were included that ten buck burger was $18.
We genuinely felt this place was a rip off.

Great food, great margaritas, horrible chips and salsa! Our Golden Doodle was welcome on the patio.

The food was ok but the guy singing was so loud that table conversation was almost impossible and the waitress was to busy gabbing with her friends and phone to check on our table. Disappointing I wouldn’t go back..
This cafe is the PERFECT example of why people need to go to local restaurants. From the friendly greeting to the wonderful food and awesome service, it would be worth the drive just for a return visit.

The blackened shrimp is amazing. And great fried pickles. Don't get the potato with it. They are not fresh, but the other side are good. Very friendly

Updated 8/14/24 - I used to love this spot while I was living here. Visited for a weekend and was sadly disappointed. The staff was very friendly; however the food left much to be desired. Everything was bland. Hopefully it was a one off night based on other reviews.
