If you haven’t already you must shabooty on down to Shabuta and give Skidmore’s a try, the food was fantastic, staff was great and the overall atmosphere was everything you could want in good ol’ southern cooking’!

Today I got the Philly Cheese Steak Poboy - y'all this was so good, comes with grilled onions, grilled peppers, lettuce, mayo and tomatos - I had it without tomatos. Meats are steak and grilled shrimp.. Mmm Mmm Mm 🤤 so good.
Sweet potato tots were good. My Cousin got the Hamburger Steak he thought it was delicious.
My husband and other cousin both got grilled shrimp and both said it was delicious.
I also got a slice of Salted Caramel Cheesecake - haven't ate it yet too full from lunch. I'll let y'all know how that is later.
Great Service, Great Restaurant, 20/10 would come here again and again and again.

Good little ole Mom & Pops type diner. They offer a good variety of things to eat from Burgers, Steaks, meal plates, Shrimp/Crab, appetizers like cheese sticks, blooming onion & other options. They have dessert options of cheesecake & drink options like soda, water, lemonade and tea.
As soon as you walk in you are greeted, you order at the counter & you pick your own seat.
The food was delicious. I had a 10oz ribeye medium rare- cooked perfectly,I'm not sure what it was cooked in like the marinade, but it was absolutely delicious, for my side I ordered green beans - delicious, a salad with homemade ranch (so delicious, best ranch I've ever had), grilled shrimp - so delicious & a roll that was pretty good. My steak came with a salad, roll and 1 side. I got the shrimp for an additional charge.
For 4 people two people got steaks, 2 people got shrimp, drinks & 1 appetizer for about $115-$120. Well worth it. The next time we come back to town we'll definitely be back. I usually take photos, but the food was too good to wait to eat. 😋
The atmosphere is good. The only downside is there's one restroom. Other than that it's wonderful.

This place really surprised me! It's kind of in the middle of nowhere, but we were hungry so we took our chances! It was SO DELICIOUS! The people were nice, the food was top notch, the shrimp were HUGE and the steak was cooked to perfection! Would recommend!

I was traveling south on highway 45 heading down toward the Mississippi coast and found the Skidmore Grill on Google. We decided to check it out because the menu looked great and they had good reviews. I can tell you from first hand experience that the reviews don't do this place justice. I had the steakhouse burger and my daughter had the grilled chicken sandwich. My daughter is very particular about chicken sandwiches, and she absolutely loved the sandwich at Skidmore. I'm not exaggerating when I say the Skidmore steakhouse burger was the best hamburger I've had in my life. The meat was juicy, the seasoning on the patty was perfect, and the special sauce they put on top really compliments the flavor. Even the bun they put it on was outstanding. If you find yourself traveling highway 45 through Mississippi, make it a point to stop off at the Skidmore; you won't regret it. Oh, and the onion rings were great too.
