The food is fabulous, the ambiance is lovely, cozy, and inviting! The staff, chef, and owners.... I cannot use enough superlatives to describe them! We held our daughter's bridal luncheon at Grit and they (staff, chefs, owners) all made it a perfect memory making event! Thank you for adding even more joy to our wedding celebration!!! Wish I could give them even more stars!!!

My husband and I held our pre-wedding rehearsal dinner at GRIT and are so happy we did. Our experience with them was fantastic from start to finish! Our experience started with a one-on-one consultation where we discussed our guest count and chose our menu, which included food and drink service. GRIT created an absolutely delicious menu for our family to enjoy. Angie, the owner, was very responsive to my questions leading up to our rehearsal dinner and made me feel like she was happy to be a part of our wedding weekend. We opted to have our rehearsal dinner in the GRIT's outdoor space, and they set it up beautifully. All the tables had tablecloths and candles, and there was a crackling fireplace and two space heaters to keep us toasty warm. The GRIT staff were excellent, ensuring our drinks never emptied. They brought all our food to the table simultaneously so no one had to wait for others; we could dig in all at once. Angie even took the time to come out and greet me, which was so sweet! The food was fresh and delicious, and my family raved about our meal at GRIT the entire wedding weekend. The airline chicken breast and roasted chile sweet potatoes were definitely the crowd favorites (and my absolute favorite was the chocolate torte with dark cherry coulis). I highly recommend GRIT for your next special event!

Was in Oxford and Grit was recommended and so glad we went! Food was fantastic, we had the shrimp and peas, catfish and burger - All delicious! Our servers Anne, Kendall and Max went above and beyond. Can’t wait to go back!!!

Fantastic food, service, and drink menu. Awesome area just 15 minutes outside of Oxford. Worth the drive over either before or after a game.

So very lovely! Excellent food and amazing service. I love to try new places when I'm traveling, and this was worth the trip. There are daily specials which I'm sure are with a trip back for me. I don't even like squash but it came with the steak tips and I ate it all. I had the blackberry tart and it was perfect with one of the best crusts I've had in a dessert.

I live in Water Valley, and I enjoy taking the 15 minute scenic drive over to Grit in Taylor. The food and drinks are always fantastic. The staff is very friendly and willing to accommodate any of your needs. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with rotating art displays and a patio with a cozy fireplace. If you are dining alone or with a small group, I recommend sitting at the bar to eat. The bartenders always have great recommendations! If you go often enough, you might even get a drink named after you. ;)

We thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday Brunch. Definitely one of the best brunch meals we've ever had. The chicken and waffles and the root vegetables and eggs were so good! Coffee and drinks are delicious too! Love the atmosphere/decor.

Grit consistently hits the mark. Whenever our out of town friends or family visit, it’s always at the top of our list for places to take them, particularly Sunday brunch. The menu looks familiar at first glance, but tastes like a brand new experience.

Food was not my favorite. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and the chicken was so over cooked that I couldn't bite it. Worst chicken and waffles that I've had.Our server was great, but didn't fully understand the menu. My mother wanted a sauce left off and server said that it couldn't happen. Once we received the dish, the sauce had just been put on top, so, it could have been left off.We had 4 dishes, and 2 of them were terrific.Grit did take off the unsatisfactory meals from our bill, but, still, it was disappointing.
