Food is awesome. Our wait staff was sweet and attentive.
Hostest was awful. Next door table has finished their desert and 5 minutes later she started pushing tables next to theirs violently and said she needs them to leave now so she can seat another in group cause their is a 3 hour wait.
Who does that?!! She was running around yelling at staff and just mean. She needs to be fired. Made everyone in the place feel uncomfortable.
Parking: Expect a wait. BYOB so tailgate in parking lot

Just awful! We were in Oxford for a softball tournament! We were so excited to try some of the local food! We called ahead but when we arrived, we were met with nothing but nasty and horrific attitudes. When our coach addressed the young man who was basically pushing us out the door, he was extremely rude and slammed the door in our faces with a smirk on his face all while telling us to go somewhere else! He also told us that NO-ONE in town would serve a party of 20! How sad is that?!?’ All of this was done in front of our entire softball team! I would give them zero stars if I could! That’s how awful they were to us! BTW, we went to Land Shark and it was amazing! Great food and great atmosphere! Don’t waste your time at Taylor Grocery!

We had a BIG party called and said how many were coming. We were all a few minutes after each other so we wasn’t there all at one time maybe after about 10 mins we were rudely told we should of called (witch we did) told them we did they were so so rude went in to tell them how rude they treated us and told them we were going to report it they literally shut the door with a friend standing there basically shoved her out the way! I have literally never seen a business treat people that way ever! I don’t recommend this place what so ever. They lost a big big big sale we had over 25 people

Guy working the counter and one of the waitresses are the rudest people I’ve ever encountered. We called at 505 asking what would be the approximate wait time for a party of 15 and they said none at the moment so we head over and once there the rude waitress is loudly complaining across the restaurant about her section being held since 5 (again we didn’t ask for a reservation we asked if there was a wait time) and makes the people of ours already seated get up to sit someone else there instead we did have more show up that were fine sitting at a random open table. I’ve never seen something handled more rudely or unprofessionally. Will never go back. Poor communication between staff and rude customer service.
Food is excellent but the older lady at the front was extremely rude to another patron. She needs lessons on proper etiquette. We will not be back until this has been resolved. It put a bad taste in our mouth for the rest of the night. Awful and degrading. There are other places we will visit for our catfish fixes until there is a change.

Hostess is absolutely nuts, also happens to be the owner, much like jerry jones her organization might be much better off if she stayed home

Bummer service. Our waiter was clearly annoyed with our kids and even grumpily said something about their behavior-and if you’ve ever been around a 3 & 5 yr old, they were being quite mild. At the end, they added a $20 split plate charge because we ordered 4 entrees (for the 4 adults) but gave a few bites to our kids. We didn’t even ask for extra silverware or plates. Then we asked the staff about the charge and two waitresses were laughing at us. They also gave us the check before we were done eating (15 min into our meal). It was weird to feel disrespected at a restaurant-lol. But food was great! The red beans and rice were great, along with the fried catfish and pecan pie. Don’t order the side salad.
Lots of recent reviews also say the service was bad and families were treated with impatience.

Dang, really sad about this visit. Had friends in town and were excited to go for the first time. Not a good experience whatsoever.
Short story: not “family friendly” at all. Waitress was very impatient with our kids, to a point it got awkward. We ordered full entrees for every adult, but got charged $20 splitting charge for trying to keep the kids behaved with a few fries and pieces of chicken. In general, everyone just seemed annoyed we were there, and we were doing our absolute best to keep the kids behaved.
More details: I went up to the manager and asked about the $20 split charge. And he did take off $10. But that wasn’t even my real issue - the split charge is on the menu, and I was willing to pay it (I had wrongly assumed it wasn’t a kid thing - more for couples who come in and order one meal). I was pretty subdued expressing my concern, and said multiple times I had no issue paying for the split charge if he decided it was appropriate. The bigger deal was, when I was up there, I expressed our disappointment with the service and how we were excited to come but didn’t feel very welcome. He didn’t apologize and didn’t try to talk about it in any way. I guess I’d hoped for a “I’m so sorry for this experience, we’d really love to have you come back, could you help me understand what went wrong?” But at the end of the day, the waitresses were laughing at my convo with the manager as we left, and I think they were fine with us never coming back.
Overall: If you’re a 50+ age couple on date night, I’m sure you’ll love it. The food was good (besides the side salad which you should not get)!
Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly at all. Would not recommend.

Owner and hostess with the rudest mostest Sarah was out to get our party…. Much like jerry jones, her organization would be best if she went to her house and sat on the front porch
The filet was perfectly cooked, the service was phenomenal and everyone was so much fun to interact with. Your waitresses are an absolute hoot. The chocolate cobbler was some of the best restraunt dessert I have ever had.
Family Service, I’ve never felt so involved. Sarah Margret makes the entire experience, she made me feel at home and that I’ve known her my whole life. Amazing service.
