Stopped in at Gitano Grill (1899 Highway 28 W, Taylorsville, MS), right between Soso and Taylorsville, and it did not disappoint! Owner Shannon Odom has put together a super friendly staff—Madison took my order and had it ready in no time. They’ve got a wide variety of menu items, plate lunches, and even cut fresh deli meats and cheeses. I had the plate lunch with hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans… absolutely fabulous! 10/10 recommend.
Such a good burger! Awesome experience, I loved the entirety of it. Clean bathrooms. Nice people. Generous portions and very reasonably priced.... I felt too embarrassed to ask what the jar of peppers is for on the table... perhaps the locals knew and I didn't want to be an odd person.
Stopped in for lunch. The place was packed. All homemade cuisine. I tried the "Philly Cheese steak" with fries. Being from that area, I was disappointed with this sammich. I only requested onions on it, no peppers. The order was to go. Their cheese used was cheddar, which does not come on a Philly Steak.
