I stayed at the Inn at Ole Miss and had breakfast at McCormick’s. The food was great, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, the wait times were long—for ordering, getting the food, and paying the check. Not the server’s fault—she was doing a great job—but she was handling at least eight tables alone at 7:30 a.m. on a Tuesday. They really need a second server during busy hours. I stopped in for breakfast this morning, and I must say it was a pleasant experience all the way around. I ordered the good little breakfast. I had crispy bacon 🥓, eggs 🍳 scrambled with cheese 🧀, cheese grits, and a biscuit with apricot jelly. To drink I had a coffee ☕️. In fact I had about four cups. All of the food was good. I requested crispy bacon, and they nailed it. The cheese grits were a bit mediocre, as it was just plain grits with shredded cheese on top....
Breakfast is consistently good here. Lunch has been fine but I heard the menu was changing or has changed and I haven’t tried that. Service is good. Restaurant is clean! Good selection of food on the menu!
