This has been my regular Subway for as long as it has been open. The man who runs this store has been consistently serving me steak and cheese subs for something like a decade, and he always does it with expediency and consideration. Screw that Jared guy or whoever is marketing for you these days; this man should be the face of your franchise, Subway. Also, the store is almost always tip-top. Never a mess.

My friend told me that when she went to subway the manager asked if her car was parked at the end of the parking lot. She said yes. The the manager/boss preceded to yell at her saying that’s she took his stop and so on. She was confused because everyone else parked there before and they never got yelled at. And there’s no way of telling that the parking spot was his. So my friend payed for her sandwich and was about to leave a tip but then she changed her mind and left the store.

I ordered online. One sandwich I ordered was “The Benissimo”- an online exclusive. I paid through the app. When I got to the store the app said my order was ready. I went inside and told the owner that I was picking up a mobile order, he immediately started yelling at me! It was hard to make out all he was saying because of his accent, but what I could make out was basically: I didn’t pay enough for my sandwich; the Benissimo isn’t on the menu; sandwiches with chicken cost over $8 and bacon is extra; he would lose money if he made that sandwich for me; etc. I showed him on the app what I ordered and was charged and told him that I have no control over what the app charges (and neither does he). I realized he had not even started making the sandwiches. (Good thing I wasn’t my in a hurry.) He tried calling his boss or some sort of person to find out why it only charged me $6.29, but got no answer. He finally agreed to make the sandwich for me, but told me that from now on I would need to order in the store and pay full price, not order on the app. (That’s not happening!) The entire time he was making the sandwich he was going on and on about how he was losing $ on the sandwich because chicken and pepperoni are so expensive and that I shouldn’t order on the app anymore. While he was making the sandwich, I also pointed out to him that I wanted extra olives and he starts yelling at me about that- throwing their sandwich-making instruction sheep across the counter at me and showing me that a footling gets 12 olives and he gave me 20. (I was my counting.) Then he put Mayo on it, even though the receipt said ranch. (I let that one slide.) As I was walking out of the store, his phone rang and I could hear him reading off the receipt to the person so I’m assuming it was his boss or whomever. I have never had a problem at this Subway, but definitely won’t be going back there again. I’ll drive to Oxford for my sandwich needs.
